This trio of decorated wood bobbins feature hand-painted United States wooden flags and are wrapped with strips of blue and antique white gingham fabric. Their length measures from 8" to 10 1/4" long and the flags are approximately 1 1/4" wide. They look lovely just grouped together in a basket and would be at home in a farmhouse kitchen, workshop or craft room. A unique reminder of the industrial revolution, they also have a metal wire binding which allowed them to be snapped into a shuttle. One has a brass endcap. The bobbins are naturally aged light brown to medium brown. They're hollow, so you can run cord through them to hang. I scored these bobbins on a recent trip to Lunenberg, Massachusetts.
