What is a transom window? It's a unique and beautiful way to bring additional light and style to the design of a room. Here's a closer look at this classic architectural feature and tips on where to use transom windows.

Our primary bath is truly a retreat. We wanted it to feel organic, uncluttered and to have a muted palate. We wanted to maximize the native forest views so we added a transom window for additional glimpses of the fir and arbutus that surround the property. We were sure to keep our shower views vast with simple panes of glass and used gorgeous living finishes that will patina over time.
