Born in 1919 in Denmark, Hovmand-Olsen started his career making cabinets for P. Olsen Sibast. After studying furniture design, he opened his own workshop and began selling furniture in Denmark and the United States. This two tier teak end table features curved, tapered legs which connect to the table top via a perpendicular bar, giving the appearance of a floating top. The top and bottom tiers have a raised lip running around the tier, allowing for secure storage.
