It’s easy to get involved with the Red Cross in Northeast Arkansas. Local opportunities include becoming a trained disaster relief response volunteer helping people affected by home fires; supporting trauma, cancer, and other patients in need by donating blood, platelet, and plasma at our local blood donation center; and learning CPR, First AID, and other lifesaving skills that will prepare you to respond to emergencies.

Micheal Sullivan, a Doniphan, Missouri native, moved to Jonesboro to pursue his education at Arkansas State University. He earned his bachelor’s degree in business management with a minor in entrepreneurship in 2014. Micheal then dedicated nine years as the Executive Director for Habitat for Humanity of Greater Jonesboro. In 2020, Micheal furthered his education with a master’s degree in public administration with a focus on nonprofit management. He joined the American Red Cross in August 2023 as Executive Director of the Southeast Missouri and Northeast Arkansas Chapter.
Micheal is deeply committed to his community, serving as a Goodwill Ambassador for the Jonesboro Regional Chamber of Commerce and a member of the Jonesboro Young Professional Network. He serves on the board of directors for the Craighead County Community Foundation and was a founding board member of the Homeless Resource Center HUB in Jonesboro.
In his personal time, Micheal enjoys traveling and spending time with his family, friends, and two dogs.
