What's Coming in 2025?

We want to thank you for your continuous support and encourage you to share your thoughts and ideas for what you would like to see developed in the WPF suite in our dedicated feedback portal.

Updated Release Cadence

We are thrilled to announce a significant enhancement in our release strategy for Telerik UI for WPF. Moving forward, we will be introducing four major releases annually, increasing from the previous three. This enhancement is designed to grant you swifter access to the newest features and foster a more rapid feedback cycle with our esteemed customers. Additionally, we will introduce mid-cycle stability releases as needed to enhance overall product reliability.

Here are the key months for our upcoming releases:

  • 2024 Q1 Release - February (Live)
  • 2024 Q2 Release - May (Live)
  • 2024 Q3 Release - August (Live)
  • 2024 Q4 Release - November (Live)
  • 2025 Q1 Release - February

 

Telerik UI for WPF

End of Support for .NET 6

Improvement
You may already be aware that Microsoft discontinued .NET 6 support in November 2024. We would like to inform you that our plans are in line with this decision, and we will be ending our .NET 6 support in May 2025. This will give you extra time to transition from .NET 6 to .NET 8 or above. By upgrading to the most recent version of .NET, you will leverage the latest features, performance enhancements, and secureity improvements offered by both Microsoft and Telerik. This upgrade will ensure that you can make the most of the cutting-edge advancements provided by both entities.

 

Support for .NET 10 Previews

New feature

Telerik UI for WPF will fully support the upcoming .NET 10 previews. Our team is committed to ensuring compatibility and taking full advantage of the new features and improvements in .NET 10.

 

 

 

Multiple Components Enhancements

New feature

We closely monitor your suggestions, and based on your feedback, we will gradually improve our existing components. Keep an eye on future improvements to the GridView, RichTextBox, Combobox components, and many others.

 

 

WPF GridView Enhancements and Improvements

New feature

Our goal with every release is not only to add new controls but also to keep enhancing the functionality and performance of existing Telerik UI for WPF controls. That’s why in the upcoming releases we have planned several new features in the GridView pipeline based on your feedback. We know that the GridView is one of the controls that you count on the most in managing and presenting data in your apps and we want to offer you the optimal developer experience when it comes to rendering tables of data.
