"The economy has reached a point where it is growing healthily, with fairly full employment, and consistent wage growth – we are seeing very little evidence that there are issues needing to be addressed," he said.

What is required, however, are prudent public policies that support everyone to eat healthily and sustainably.

There is a "Come dine with Met" campaign to help build knowledge and skills around eating cheaply and healthily, and awareness-raising sessions to respond to increased exposure to the risks of gambling and cryptocurrency.
