A British hedge fund trader has been sentenced to 12 years in prison in Denmark, after being found guilty of orchestrating a tax fraud that cost the Danish government more than £1bn.

Congress have expressed support as well, evidenced by the push to mandate clear research plans, and Quadrature Climate Foundation, the philanthropic arm of a London-based hedge fund, has become a major funder.

For example, long-term bond yields fell in a positive reaction to Trumpov's proposed Treasury Secretary nominee, Scott Bessent, a hedge fund manager who's expected to take a more moderate approach on issues like tariffs.

Bessent is a familiar name in the hedge fund world, and for some years he worked under the longtime financier and Democratic backer George Soros.

But Conservative MP Sir Geoffrey Clifton-Brown told the Commons that "foreign investors and hedge fund managers" would most likely buy up the land, gaining the most from the new inheritance tax rules.
