Dreading Chinook

In a Dakotan range where cold has dealt,
Meditating the last snow storm that fall;
O white flakes, grand grace in fluffy small pelts
With intense shine, deepens love every call.

In her wake brings a blizzard of passions
Accumulating in my mind each day;
Love so intense, for her my mind cushions
In a deep heap where my white soul ballet.

I fear torridness in the skies outlook
Turning my dear ice into a seized melt;
Vanishing my love with thieving chinook
Her soft powder love thaws each day he dwell.

Hoping her love comes for cold protection,
Trying to chill to keep her reflection.
