As Verisk’s chief financial officer (CFO), Elizabeth Mann drives the company’s financial strategy and capital management philosophy by focusing on creating long-term value and investing in the highest-return opportunities.

Elizabeth joined Verisk from S&P Global, where she was CFO of the Ratings and Mobility divisions, after serving as senior vice president of Capital Management (overseeing the Tax, Treasury, and Capital Allocation functions). Before that, she held several roles of increasing responsibility at Goldman Sachs, including managing director of the firmwide strategy group and the technology, media, and telecom investment banking group.

Before joining corporate America, Elizabeth was Moore Instructor and National Science Foundation Postdoctoral Fellow at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, a position once held by famed mathematician John Nash.

She’s been published in many outlets, most recently for an article on aviation finance for the Journal of Structured Finance.

Elizabeth holds a PhD in mathematics from the University of Oxford; a certificate of advanced study in mathematics from the University of Cambridge, where she was a Churchill Scholar; and a BS in mathematics from Harvard University, where she graduated magna cum laude.

Her involvement with the Churchill Scholar program continues, as she’s now the board president of the Winston Churchill Scholarship Foundation of the United States.
