The files above are collectively referred to as "the Submission". We request the Submission be known as the PRISM Specification Package Submission.

The PRISM Specification Package was developed by members of the International Digital Enterprise Alliance, Inc. (Idealliance) publishing community and represents the work product of 200 individual contributors from 90 publishing organizations over a period of 15 years. This set of specifications, taxonomies, controlled vocabularies, namespace declaration files, XML schemas and non-normative support documents provide a standard toolset for content creators and publishers to author, organize, extract, publish, aggregate and exchange magazine and periodical content.
International Digital Enterprise Alliance, Inc. (Idealliance), Authoring Organization and Intellectual Property owner of the PRISM Specification Package Submission hereby provides the required information regarding copyright, trademark, patent licensing, liability and warranty terms.
International Digital Enterprise Alliance, Inc. (Idealliance) holds copyrights to all documents contained within the PRISM Specification Package Submission. Idealliance hereby grants to the W3C a perpetual, nonexclusive, royalty-free, world-wide right and license under any copyrights on this contribution, to copy, publish and distribute the contribution under the W3C document licenses.
Additionally, should the Submission be used as a contribution towards a W3C Activity in the future, [Wiley/Idealliance] grants a right and license of the same scope to any derivative works prepared by the W3C and based on, or incorporating all or part of, the contribution. [Wiley/Idealliance] further agrees that any derivative works of this contribution prepared by the W3C shall be solely owned by the W3C.
PRISM and nextPub are registered trademarks of the International Digital Enterprise Alliance, Inc. (Idealliance).
Idealliance agrees that the trade and service marks that are associated with and identify this specific PRISM Specification Pacckage Submission will be governed by the W3C Trademark and Servicemark License.
Wiley (Submitting W3C Member) and Idealliance (authoring organization and copyright holder) claim to have no personal knowledge of any patents or IPR claims held by their respective organizations regarding the PRISM Submission.
Proprietary technology is not required to implement the PRISM Specification. It is built upon W3C Recommendations including XML and RDF.
We suggest that the Consortium post the PRISM Submission to be used as a resource for the W3C Publishing Community. As such it can be used for reference, or at some point in the future, be incorporated into new work initiated by the community.
The PRISM Specification Package is submitted as a complete and final work. The Idealliance Publishing Community no longer maintains or extends the PRISM Specification Package. This body of work may be directly posted to the W3C website as a submission to serve as a resource for the W3C Publishing Community. Ongoing maintenance is not anticipated and neither the submitting member nor Idealliance paln to provide ongoing resources to W3C in support of this Submission.
