A Freeze Warning is in effect from 3 AM until 9 AM Saturday for the inland areas with a Freeze Watch in effect for the coastal areas. Lows are expected to drop to 25-32 degrees. Take action to protect your people, your pets, your plants, and your pipes.
Northwest winds between 20-25 knots with gusts to 30 knots will hang around one more day creating hazardous marine conditions. The advisory is in effect for the bays and waterways until midnight and the Gulf waters until 6 AM Saturday.
Drier air will quickly filter into the region in the wake the overnight rain. Chilly temperatures can be expected once again as clouds gradually clear out throughout the day.
Clouds will linger throughout the morning before begging to clear out this afternoon. Temperatures will remain chilly in the upper 40s with a strong northwest wind. The rip current risk is low, however, low risk doesn't mean no risk, please use caution when going in the water.
Freezing temperatures return to South Texas tonight under partly cloudy to clear skies. Temperatures will dip into the 20s inland and low 30s along the coast. Therefore, a Freeze warning is in effect for the inland areas and a Freeze Watch for the coastal areas.
Drier air will continue early this weekend with low chances for rain returning Sunday. Temperatures this weekend into next week are expected to be more seasonal remaining above freezing under partly to mostly cloudy skies.
