...Impacts associated with the current major atmospheric river
gradually subside... 

Winter Storm Warnings remain in effect for much of the Sierra
Nevada in California.

Wind/Lake Wind Advisories remain in effect for portions of Nevada
and southern Sierra Nevada.

Flood Advisories remain in effect for portions of northern
California and southwest Oregon.

At 600 AM PST...A cold front trailing southwest from a low
pressure system centered near the western border of Montana, with
an estimated pressure of about 999 mb, continued to move farther
east across the Great Basin and central California.  National
Weather Service radar and surface observations showed areas of
moderate to heavy rain falling over a good portion of the
northwestern U.S. including Idaho, northern Nevada, and the
northern half of California.  Snow continued to fall across the
higher elevations in these areas

As the main jet stream and the cold front associated with the
current major atmospheric river event move farther inland through
the Intermountain region, precipitation across the northwestern
U.S. and into California is forecast to become lighter and more
widespread today and into tonight. Total rainfall may locally
approach 25 inches in spots in interior California. Looking ahead,
the next system from the Pacific is forecast to reach the Pacific
Northwest on Sunday and then into northern and central California
on Monday, bringing additional but generally moderate amounts of
precipitation into these areas.
