When
the National Hurricane Center drops responsibility for a tropical system
after it makes landfall, The Hydrometeorological Prediction Center takes
responsibility for issuing storm summaries. Storm summaries were once issued
four times a day, but have been reduced to twice daily, scheduled at 06Z
and 18Z.
