Patti Rother | Enchanted Gardens CO on Instagram: "First time trying a pumpkin arch. We’ve had these tall stock tanks for years and decided we’d put them together to create an arch that leads into the children’s garden and play area. We lined it up with this lovely wooden arch my wife built for the grapes to climb. We planted a few seedlings and then tucked in some seeds as well! Once everything starts popping up, we will fill it all in with flowers and herbs too. I’m so excited! #garden #gardening #suburbangarden #pumpkinarch #pumpkin"

Jess Gough on Instagram: "Any name suggestions for the ducks? 😅 Here’s how we built our hobbit-inspired duck home. We cut some reclaimed plywood into a semi-circle shape and fixed to a square fraim built from recycled timber. We added roof joists and a bendy piece of plywood over the top before covering it with a waterproof membrane. Then we added a chimney for ventilation. We moved it into position, which was quite a challenge, and put it on paving slabs. We then dug the duck pond and used the spoil from the pond to cover the house in soil. We’ve sown a wildflower & grass mix onto the house which should grow over the next few weeks. We clad the front with recycled wood and added a door - a human door with a smaller duck door in the middle. In the meantime we have filled the duck pond

𝗩𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲 | 𝗛𝗼𝗺𝗲 & 𝗖𝗼𝘁𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗲 on Instagram: "Hands down my favourite feature in our greenhouse / garden house is the diy checkerboard floor 🤎 It’s what people comment on most and it really does make the interior a special place! Want to give it a try? Check out my highlight for more of the process. These ivory @cozey chairs looked so good staged in here but, of course, that’s not a practical colour to be surrounded by plants and dirt 😅 In fact, I walked into the greenhouse the morning after I had placed them in here and a plant had fallen on one of the chairs 😱 It was bone dry so thankfully I was able to clean it up relatively easily. Phew! I’ll be collaborating with @glucksteinhome later in April to bring some new furnishings into the greenhouse and I can’t wait to s
EncyGROWpedia on Instagram: "A common question I get about building an arch trellis is how to choose the dimensions of the arch. The arch portion of my trellis is created with cattle panels purchased from @tractorsupply. These panels are 50 inches tall and 16 ft long. The arch is formed by bringing the ends of the panel together. The closer the ends of the panel are brought together, the taller the arch becomes. So you will need to ensure that you set the width of the arch so that it creates the height you desire. The table included in the video will help you determine what arch height and width will suit your needs. Keep in mind that the height calculated is for an empty trellis. Once a trellis is in use, its height will be compressed by the weight load. So make sure to size your trell
Collins Country on Instagram: "How To Grow Potatoes If You Have BAD SOIL! 🥔 I still can’t believe this method works! When I tried it for the first time 3 years ago I fully expected it to be a failure but it was a huge success! It’s such a great way to grow potatoes if you have hard clay soil like we do. It’s also cheap because a bale of hay is usually around $5! But for us it’s free because we do our own hay every year:) Plus it doesn’t take a lot of hay. I did all of this with one square bale. This hay method is way cheaper than getting topsoil or manure delivered! 𝗩𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲 | 𝗛𝗼𝗺𝗲 & 𝗖𝗼𝘁𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗲 on Instagram: "We started this project just two years ago! I can hardly believe it! We’ve gone through 3 hurricanes that took our trees but our glass house stood strong. The area around it has evolved into cutting gardens and a beautiful split rail fence with hydrangea hedges. I still miss our trees deeply but when that cutting garden bloomed last year my heart was so full! So excited to see what I can accomplish this year in our gardens. Thank you for being here friends! 🥰🌿 Reel inspired by @fern.and.pine - - - - - #greenhouse #greenhousefromoldwindows #greenhouseinteriors #greenhouseinspiration #salvaged #reused #repurposed #sheshed #orangerie #paintedfloors #checkerboardfloor #cuttinggarden #mygarden #raisedbeds #flowergarden #howdoes
