Lodge cast iron pans are very high quality pans at a reasonable price. They are heavy, thick pans ith short handles to make them easier to lift. They handles are cast iron as well, so get hot also and “must” be handled with potholders. Lodge sells a slip on heat resistant cover for lifting the hot pan if you do not want to use potholders.
“They come pre treated with oil which is what makes cleaning the pans very easy. The frying pans are more deep sided than most frying pans, which I really like. Of course they can be used in both the oven or on the stove top. They heat evenly, fit flat on gas burners and never develope any kind of wobble due to warping of the pan’s bottom. I love items that are Made in America, which these pans are. Look online if you aren’t familiar with cleaning cast iron pans, but remember if you wash cast iron pans in water and don’t get them 100% dry, they will rust. If I wash mine in water, I usually sit them back on a heated range top burner for a bit to make sure any excess water cooks off, then take them off the heat and let them cool completely before putting them away. If you’re tired of pans that promise to be stick free and easy to clean, but simply are not, try Lodge cast iron pans. I highly recommend the Lodge brand of cast iron pans. All cast iron pans are not equal.

CLEANING & CARE
There’s nothing better than a home-cooked meal, and Lodge’s rust-resistant line just made that easier. Items in this line undergo a patented heat-treating process to inhibit rust. Hand washing this pan with warm soapy water is recommended to preserve the cookware’s seasoned finish. For extra stuck-on bits, an occasional trip through the dishwasher is fine, just apply a thin coat of cooking oil to it afterward to maintain the seasoning. A whole "lodge" to love!
This product is great. It took a little while to arrive but tis the season after all. Whether you buy from here or from Walmart, its going to get the job done. I cooked up two ribeyes for my lady and i and they turned out terrificly. I seasoned it with grapeseed oil as it has a high smoke point, which is what i was looking for. Just simmer a little water in it after use thwn use the lovely brush included to scrape off the residue. It all works like a charm. You may want to invest in a good handle holding device.

Brush and skillet came in perfectly. It has some very minor scratch on the side but does not matter at all.

Cooked our first meal with it and it is perfectly non stick. Pan is a little heavy but seems to be perfect for it. Though we washed and seasoned it before use.
