The National Organization for Women was founded in 1966 by prominent American feminists, including Betty Friedan, Shirley Chisolm, and others. The organization’s “statement of purpose” laid out the goals of the organization and the targets of its feminist vision.

The dance is inspired by Chris' favorite house dancer Mamson and also pays homage to the cross-generational connection of the circle. The beats you hear, and the dance forms you see, connect us in a way where we have no choice but to look past our differences and build community along with the beat.
