Deutsch: Südansicht der Schlossanlage Schönbrunn im 13. Wiener Gemeindebezirk Hietzing mit der Gloriette im Vordergrund.
Mit dem Bau der ehemaligen Sommerresidenz der Habsburger begann man um 1696 nach Plänen von Johann Bernhard Fischer von Erlach. Unter Maria Theresia wurde sie ab 1743 durch Nikolaus Pacassi grundlegend umgestaltet. Eine weitere Gesamtänderung der Schlossanlage erfolgte ab etwa 1765 nach Entwürfen von Johann Ferdinand Hetzendorf von Hohenberg und Adrian van Steckhoven, dabei wurde unter anderem die Gloriette 1775 vollendet.
