I got a 502 error message. Is anyone experiencing this?

Hi @CallieAlreza ...

You can always check Instructure Status to see if Canvas is up and running.  In addition, there is a link at the very top of that page that takes you to a screen where you can enter in your own school's Canvas URL, and it will also give you data just for your school, but I believe that data might be delayed by 24 hours.  As of right now, it does look like there is an issue with "Outcomes Service backlogged", but I'm not sure if that's at all related to the error you are seeing.

Have you tried clearing your browser history/cache, restarting your browser, and then re-logging in?  Or, have you tried a different browser completely?

I hope this will be of some help to you!

Hi @CallieAlreza,

From the link @Chris_Hofer provided, there were two separate documented incidents.

One was specifically related to New Quizzes (https://status.instructure.com/incidents/xvkdr6w1shc7) between 09:57 MST (11:57 EST) and 13:22 MST (1:22 PM MST or 15:22 EST / 3:22 EST).

The other was generically related to users getting 504 errors (https://status.instructure.com/incidents/dm0mstxckcyh) between 15:19 MST (3:19 PM MST or 17:19 EST / 5:19 PM EST) and 15:48 MST (3:48 PM MST or 17:48 / 5:48 PM EST).

You posted this question at 5:42 PM EST (17:42 EST or 3:42 PM MST / 15:42 MST).  At the time, the New Quizzes incident had been resolved and getting 504 errors (while technically different than the 502 error that you received) was in the process of being resolved.
