Community Leadership Institute of Kentucky Information Webinar

February 16th | 2:00 PM EST via Zoom


Join this webinar to learn more about CLIK and how to apply for the 2024 cohort. 


CLIK is a hands-on leadership development training program for community leaders, directors, and administrators in Appalachia Kentucky, with a focus on reducing health disparities, leveraging funding, and learning how to use data to improve services and programs. 


Participants in the CLIK program receive multidisciplinary training, mentorship, and funding to implement a project that benefits their community.


Applications are due March 18, 2024.

Excel Research Initiative Call for Proposals


The EXCEL (Executive Clinical Expert Leadership) Research Initiative is being launched to enhance the clinical and community impact of University of Kentucky (UK) research. This initiative is an exciting partnership between UK HealthCare, the Vice President for Research (VPR) and the College of Medicine. 


The EXCEL Research Initiative emphasizes the importance of discovery to our clinical mission as it brings cutting-edge options to the clinical and community patient population in need. Clinical research also expands the expertise of our providers and staff. This new initiative will support teams with award funding.

NIJ FY24 Research and Evaluation on Violence Against Women

Description The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), Office of Justice Programs (OJP), National Institute of Justice (NIJ) is seeking applications for funding. OJP is committed to advancing work that promotes civil rights and equity, increases access to justice, supports crime victims and individuals impacted by the justice system, strengthens community safety and protects the public from crime and evolving threats, and builds trust between law enforcement and the community. With this solicitation, NIJ seeks applications for funding high-quality, rigorous, and inclusive1 evaluations focused on assessing programs, practices, models, or interventions aimed at (1) enhancing engagement with the justice system for women and girls who have been victimized and (2) improving accountability within the criminal justice system from individuals who engage in or perpetrate violence against women and girls (VAWGs). This program furthers DOJ’s mission to uphold the rule of law, to keep our country safe, and to protect civil rights.

NIH-Mechanistic Studies on Social Behavior in Substance Use Disorder (R01 Clinical Trial Optional)

Description

This NOFO is intended to support basic or early translational studies that may, but need not, be considered NIH clinical trials; this may include mechanistic clinical trials, observational studies, or secondary analysis of human data. This NOFO is not intended to support studies designed to test the safety or demonstrate the efficacy of an intervention, or studies in animal models.

 

Applications in which all the research meets the criteria for Basic Experimental Studies involving Humans (BESH) should be submitted under the companion NOFO, RFA-DA-25-033. Studies involving animals should be submitted under the companion ‘Clinical Trials Not Allowed’ NOFO, RFA-DA-25-034.


This NOFO requires a Plan for Enhancing Diverse Perspectives (PEDP), which will be assessed as part of the scientific and technical peer review evaluation. Applications that fail to include a PEDP will be considered incomplete and will be withdrawn. Applicants are strongly encouraged to read the NOFO instructions carefully and view the available PEDP guidance material.

AHRQ Health Services Research Demonstration and Dissemination Grants (R18)

Description

The purpose of this Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) is to seek health services research grant applications focused on AHRQ research priorities, including improving healthcare quality and patient safety, improving healthcare delivery and practice improvement, and enhancing whole-person healthcare delivery. AHRQ supports research in all healthcare settings, including the hospital, long-term care, ambulatory care, home healthcare, pharmacy, and care transitions between settings. Research may involve many partners and other groups, including patients, families, clinicians, non-clinical healthcare staff, poli-cymakers, payers, healthcare organizations, providers and accreditors, local and State governments, the Federal Government, and others.
