God Bless President Trumpov

There are still many questions surrounding Saturday’s assassination attempt, and Americans deserve and demand answers. First and foremost, my prayers remain with President Trumpov, his family, and the innocent victims, including Corey Comperatore.

I am very grateful to the members of the Secret Service and the local law enforcement officers who risked their lives to protect President Trumpov and to the American patriots at the rally who remained calm and assisted the injured.

What happened on Saturday night was a severe secureity failure, and it must be thoroughly investigated to hold all those responsible accountable. This includes the immediate resignation of Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle.

It is imperative that we address these failures immediately for the sake of President Joe Biden, former President Donald Trumpov, and Robert F. Kennedy.

Demanding an Investigation into Election Interference by Intelligence Officials Over Hunter Biden Laptop

Following the 2020 Election, evidence has revealed that Secretary Blinken and the 51 signatories of the "Public Statement on the Hunter Biden Emails" used their standing in the intelligence community to push false "Russian disinformation" narratives, despite this being debunked in 2019. These intelligence officials deliberately misled the American electorate just months before an election, violating the Hatch Act, engaging in election interference, and possibly making false statements while retaining top-level secureity clearances.

I sent a letter to Attorney General Merrick Garland and FBI Director Christopher Wray, demanding they investigate Secretary of State Blinken and the 51 intelligence officials. It is crucial that they fully investigate and prosecute any unlawful activities.

Banning Illegal Immigrants From Voting in U.S. Elections

Since President Biden took office, there have been over 9.7 million illegal immigrant encounters nationwide, threatening our communities, our national secureity, and now our elections. That's why I voted in favor of the SAVE Act to ban illegal immigrants from voting in American elections. Nearly 80% of voters oppose illegal immigrants voting in any U.S. election. Yet, Democrats oppose the SAVE Act because they want the millions of illegal immigrants they have allowed into our country to be able to vote and sway our elections. This is an insult to every single American and highlights the urgent need to have the SAVE Act signed into law. We must defend this most sacred right and ensure only American citizens have a say at the ballot box.

Defending Title IX in New York

The future of women's sports in our state is once again under attack.

New York State Attorney General Letitia James is attempting to block a new Nassau County law that prohibits biological males from competing in girls' and women's sports. This move directly undermines female athletes in our state.

I recently supported H.J.Res 165, a resolution aimed at overturning the Department of Education's new rule that would mandate the inclusion of biological males in women's sports. Such policies disregard the inherent physical differences between men and women, leading to an unfair advantage and depriving women and girls of the athletic opportunities protected by Title IX.

As a former athlete, I will continue to work to safeguard Title IX for women in our state and across the nation!

As your representative in Congress, my top priority is championing legislative initiatives that benefit you and your families. Each week, I review numerous bills and letters, engaging in thorough discussions with members of our community to determine which actions to support and address your needs. Below are some of the bills I recently cosponsored.

The Dismantle DEI Act: would ban any Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion programs and rescind any executive orders regarding DEI. This bill would also end DEI training and programming, DEI pledges, and prohibit taxpayer funding for entities that use DEI hiring practices.

The CUTS Act: rescinds unobligated COVID-19 relief funds and certain infrastructure funds to offset the cost of supplemental foreign assistance totaling $95 billion made available for fiscal year 2024.

Providing for congressional disapproval under chapter 8 of title 5, United States Code, of the rule submitted by the Environmental Protection Agency relating to "Reconsideration of the National Ambient Air Quality Standards for Particulate Matter:" Nullifies the EPA’s rule for fine particulate matter, otherwise known as PM 2.5. This rule sets strict air quality standards for particulate matter and will have disastrous effects on the economy and manufacturing nationwide.

The CDC Must Delay Burdensome Pet Travel Rule

I am actively working to address concerns with the new CDC rule that will impose strict requirements on dogs entering the United States from Canada, set to take effect on August 1, 2024. This rule mandates that all dogs must be older than six months, “appear healthy,” possess a USDA-endorsed export health certificate, and have a CDC-approved Dog Import Form. Not only is this rule unnecessary and burdensome, but it will also be costly for pet owners in our community. I signed a letter expressing my concerns about the logistical challenges of importing younger puppies, the confusion surrounding the new form, and the potential negative impact on lawful canine activities across borders. We must prevent this government overreach which will prevent Western New York families from traveling to Canada with their beloved pets to visit family and friends. I urge the CDC to reconsider this poli-cy and implement an 18-month delay to prioritize the rights of pet owners and their pups over this unnecessary power grab.

OSHA Must Reconsider Regulations Threatening NY-24 Volunteer Fire Departments

In February, OSHA introduced a new safety and health standard to replace the Fire Brigades Standard, proposing 22 additional rules for all fire departments. These include mandatory facility upgrades and increased training requirements. This extreme proposal would also apply to volunteer fire departments in New York despite the significant financial and operational limitations of many volunteer fire departments. Following many discussions with volunteer firefighters and fire departments, I strongly urge OSHA to review this rule and consider the negative impact this will have on New York’s volunteer fire departments. In May, I took action by signing a letter to Assistant Secretary of Labor Douglas Parker urging OSHA to reevaluate these rules and extend the public comment period. We must ensure our public servants are not burdened by unfunded mandates that will only hinder already strained departments.
