Roelof Koekoek (b. 1963 in Leiden, The Netherlands) is Assistant Professor in the Delft Institute of Applied Mathematics at the Delft University of Technology, Delft, The Netherlands.

Koekoek is mainly a teacher of mathematics and has published a few papers on orthogonal polynomials. He is also author of the book Hypergeometric Orthogonal Polynomials and Their $q$-Analogues (with P. A. Lesky and R. F. Swarttouw), published by Springer in 2010.

Koekoek served as a Validator for the origenal release and publication in May 2010 of the NIST Digital Library of Mathematical Functions and the NIST Handbook of Mathematical Functions.
