Defuseball is a cozy and mind-bending puzzle game for the Sega Dreamcast

You take control of a small ball in a level full of bombs.
The goal is to defuse the bombs in the correct order to continue to the next level.

In each level, a bomb with an active fuse will blink: that's the one you need to defuse!

Just hop onto the field with the bomb and the ball will automagically defuse it.

You will have limited time to defuse each bomb, watch its blink frequency closely!

Defuseball was created for the DreamDisc '24 Game Jam.

[Rules]:

You cannot return to fields that you've already visited.
They will vanish after you've hopped to the next one.
Exceptions are:

• rainbowy spawn fields
• blue push fields
• red jump fields

[Controls]:

Analog stick / DPAD: 
Moves your ball forward, backward, left and right

A-Button (HOLD):
Hold this button and move into a direction in order to jump over 1 field

Y-Button:
Switches between the 4 different camera angles

START-Button:
Game Over, you will return to the title screen

Vibration Pack (optional):
The controller will vibrate/rumble on certain events (defusals, explosions, etc..)

[Scoring]:

100 points: For each visited field that vanished

250 points: For moving and jumping over blue and red fields

500 points: For defusing a bomb

1500 points: For finishing a level

Bonus points: Should you win the game, you will be awarded 1000 points for each remaining life!

[Strategy]:

• Try to visit as many fields as possible

• While shortcuts are great when you are short on time, they will ultimately result in less points

• Memorize routes and look out for alternatives

• Taking a longer route will result in more points

• Only jump if it's really necessary!

[Compatibility]:

This game was designed to be played on the Sega Dreamcast.
There's no guarantee it will run on emulators such as lxdream.
