John L. Murphy
John L. Murphy earned his Ph.D. in British and Irish Literature from UCLA. He's taught college and graduate-level humanities for four decades. His research in the literary and cultural history of ideas ranges from medieval to modern. Currently, he delves into Franciscan + Jesuit thought, Irish Catholicism, Irish-Latin American connections, and Irish-language learning. He reviews books and music across media. In the Andes, he's guided adult professionals in the English Teacher Program, La Comisión del Fulbright.
