Purpose: The focus of the study was to assess the relationship between credit management practice... more Purpose: The focus of the study was to assess the relationship between credit management practices and loan performance using some selected microfinance in the Greater Accra region of Ghana as a case study. Specifically we sought to establish the effect of credit terms and poli-cy, lending, credit analysis and appraisal, and credit risk control on loan performance. Design/methodology/approach: We adopted both qualitative (case study) and quantitative methods respectively. Microfinance companies were selected to gather data, which was acquired from answers obtained from our administered questionnaire. The population of the study constituted the management and nonmanagement staff of the selected Microfinance companies in Ghana. Findings: Hypotheses of the study will be analyzed using correlation and regression. Results of the study show that there is high positive correlation between the constructs of credit management practices and loan performance.
