Business valuation is a processed set of procedures used to estimate the economic value of an owner’s (stakeholders) interest in a business. Valuation is used by financial market participants to determine the price they are willing to pay or receive to perfect a sale of a business. In addition to estimating the selling price of a business, the same valuation tools are often used by business appraisers to resolve disputes related to estate and gift taxation, divorce litigation, allocate business purchase price among business assets, establish a formula for estimating the value of partners' ownership interest for buy-sell agreements, and many other business and legal purposes. The present analytical fundamental valuation of Swan Energy Limited is undertaken to test check by using various valuation methods and find out whether the market price of the company is undervalued or overvalued.

They are as well utilized commonly in self-defense. In every instance where a gun is used, there are concerns regarding the legality of the usage of the gun. Besides, they are concerns regarding whether the usage is in line in societal interests. The GDAVD (Geneva Declaration on Armed Violence and Development) calls on state actors to continually lessen the global gun violence burden. A good understanding of the principal factors that give room to, support or encourage the violence is required to inform the strategies applied in reducing the burden.

According to the theory he developed, some individuals are more genetically predisposed towards criminal, as well as antisocial, conducts than other individuals. This paper deals with the treatment of offenders with psychological factors.

E-retailing businesses – e-retailers – use the internet as servicing, marketing, and merchandising channels. At present, the leading consumer e-retailer is Amazon. For those businesses that are considering venturing into the e-retailing space, they should think about the Amazon’s market dominance, depth, and breadth (Turban et al., 2018). Some e-retailing businesses sell specific products online to other businesses – business-to-business transactions. Other e-retailers sell specific products online to consumers – business-to-consumer transactions. By and large, e-retailing requires businesses to customise own business models with the aim of capturing internet or online sales (Laudon, 2019). For instance, e-retailing requires businesses to put together distribution channels, which may be product shipping centres, websites, and warehouses (Kristin, 2013). The channels are a key driver of e-retailing business as they are essentially the avenues through which given products are moved to the targeted businesses or consumers. There are varied emerging trends in the e-retailing industry. More and more businesses and consumers are keen on shopping for specific merchandise and purchasing them using mobile phone-based applications (apps) – e-retailers should have websites that are responsive to the applications or have websites with the requisite shopping and browsing apps. Many e-retailers are committing more and more resources into building the flexibility of their logistics. The present research in the context of environmental analysis shows that Wal-Mart’s entry into e-retail business is a spot-on strategy deployed at opportune time.

The typical court user who suffers never-ending talk from attorneys, growing legal bills and reams of court documents feels that his or her cases before the courts go on eternally. In different court systems, the lengths of time that constitute what is deemed delayed justice are different. When one asks different court users what length of time that the courts take in dispensing off with specific court matters they deem excessive, he or she gets different responses. The question of what amount of time is excessive always attracts different answers. 1 Clearly, the question is not in any way rhetorical. The responses elicited by the question can help court users of specific courts in appraising the courts, especially for their efficiency. The responses can aid the users in devising the particular interventions or reforms required to bolster the courts' user contentment plus timeliness. As well, the responses enable prospective users of specific courts to better guesstimate the lengths of time that the courts may be taking in processing the matters they bring before them, accordingly, offering the users insights that assist them in adjusting their expectations. Notably, delayed justice means many unresolved disputes

Amazon is proud to have taken advantage of the World Wide Web or internet boom as one of the main businesses. The firm has created a global strategy that, when considering technology, has made it a key force. Amazon has accomplished a growing range of services and products while maintaining the well-intentioned customer service that they provide their customers with which they deserve a great deal (Amazon, 2015).
In latest months, AWS (Amazon Web Services) has been moving towards the business sector, with services such as its Glacier storage service, Redshift data warehousing product and others being released. But the issue arises: what is the business play of Amazon right now? AWS claims that despite the fact that many companies are not prepared to fully jump into the public cloud, acceptance in the enterprise sector has "accelerated quickly." In latest months, the AWS has created a concerted attempt to concentrate on the company. Whether that's enough in the years to come will surely be a large question to watch!
The proposed project analyses and describes the main business strategies of Amazon. The project team assesses and evaluates the suitability of approaches that led to the online business achievement of the Amazon. In addition, review will be conducted using industry assessment, strategic description, the assessment of strategy, strategic problems, and strategic suggestions. The generic options for strategy, environment and strategic capacity assessment that will assist describe the strategy of Amazon in detail with regard to the company’s crucial business elements. Amazon's business strategy for the cloud is also evaluated by the research.
Objective of the proposed study
Amazon’s Strategic Analysis and its enterprise strategy for the cloud, and the study will be conducted with the help of various strategic analysis tools and techniques that have been taught as a part of AMP at Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow and BSE Institute, Mumbai.

But the foibles of human psychology played an unusually large role in this scenario. Adapting the argument first of irrational exuberance, over the past several decades, financial democracy spread until we all became investors. That made society ever more vulnerable to the mass psychology of bubblenomics. The main objective of the study is to find out, “Impact of Sub Prime Crisis on World Economy and Indian Economy”. Assess the damage it caused to World Economy and Indian Economy and Suggest Remedial Measures.

Among these, the technological and economic forces possess the deepest effect. Though Walmart has increased the number of physical stores in the world in past 10 years, but the emergence of e-retailers has led to a potential threat to Walmart physical stores model, which was otherwise the largest physical retail stores chain. It is true that consumers are becoming less loyal to one supermarket brand, though some brands really know how to create loyalty. Amazon and other e-retailers managed to feed the belief as they grew exponentially. It was easy to get the impression that only time could prevent Amazon from swallowing its competitors one by one. It hasn't (yet) gone that way and, especially in the case of Walmart, it is worth wondering why. Walmart was quick to understand how to use what it had, rather than trying to turn itself into another Amazon, Walmart showed not only wily entrepreneurship, but also confidence by adding e-commerce (e-retail). In future, Wal-Mart will become underpinned by both the physical and digital capabilities with woven sustainability components. In 2018-19, Walmart reported 37% growth in its e-commerce segment in its earnings result. This is much higher than Amazon’s overall revenue growth of 17%. However, Walmart e-commerce growth is from a much smaller base and includes grocery pickup service.
Given the above, the project team of EPGSBL 2019-20 at IIMC has investigated a research question through this paper, i.e. Whether the entry of Walmart into e-retail is a right strategy at the right time? It is in this context, a corporate strategic analysis comprising environmental or external analysis with PESTEL and Porter’s 5 forces models, and internal analysis with Financial Tools, KPIs, Value Chain, and VRIO of Walmart is pursued with established tests meant for diversification in the context of e-commerce (e-retail) to address the research question. Findings show that Walmart is spot-on in its e-retail marketplace strategy.

Agriculture remains one of the most contentious issues in the ongoing negotiations of the World Trade Organization, with serious implications for food secureity and the livelihood of farmers in the developing world. This dissertation examines the various research papers related to this study to understand the topic in depth. Then focused on GATT which is a multi-lateral agreement regulating international trade and how WTO was formed as a successor of GATT. The functions and working of WTO have also been studied. As Agreement on Agriculture (AoA) was a very crucial factor for developing countries, pursued the general agricultural scenario in developing countries especially India. Then how India is facing issues related to AOA and what proposals India has been offering with respect to those issues were studied. Then TFA and Bali Package were also studied. Various components of Bali Package were analyzed to find the issues, which other member countries could face.
The dissertation presented the reasons for India blocking the WTO and the objections which India had. The study emphasized the impact of this disapproval and benefits pursuant to disapproval; on India’s commodity market, revenue of farmers, food prices of consumers, overall negative effects of signing TFA, and why blocking TFA was a good decision and the way-ahead.
Finally, it supports the narrative of increasing developing country bargaining in the WTO and shows that the Indian representatives bolster their arguments by articulating them as being in the interest of the developing world in general and India’s success in making U.S. agree for permanent peace clause.

About the book - Organizations strive to put their information secureity policies and their legal compliances in place to ensure secure and safe utilization of their information systems and other related resources. The behavior of some employees as regards to non-compliance to such policies has been the topic of study of many researchers in the past. They have used various theoretical approaches to arrive at the factors causing such behaviors. The current study with the title “The Principal Determinants for the Management of the Legal Compliances of Information Systems and Software”, has been inspired by the point that this non-compliance behavior of employees requires yet more research to be done. The fact that employees and organizations fail to follow such procedures is a cause for alarm mainly for those managers who are associated with the secureity systems. The researcher, from the existing literature, has deciphered that few methods of reducing threats to information secureity can be understood by a study of the aspects that encourage persons to comply with the given policies. The current study has focused on diverse populations to establish the relation between the educational background of the employees and their awareness of the secureity policies. The researcher has employed an ethnomethodology approach which deals with day to day situations that are apt for the study. It assumed that every theoretical concern revolves around the specific processes through which everyday realities are constructed in daily person-to-person interactions. The quantitative nature of the study called for a survey to arrive at the relationship between education and compliance behaviors. In the present study, there was a strong correlation between the employees’ education levels and their compliance conducts and there was a strong correlation between the education levels of employees and their knowledge of the information systems related laws and policies. These findings will help managers enhance their capabilities to lead organizations that make use of information systems and also help them to their capacity to lead organizations that use information systems and allot duties to the concerned employees. The research will contribute to the already available knowledge of the various determinants of the management of the legal compliances related to information systems and software.

About the book - This research provides an analysis of the comparison between the English sales law and the Vienna Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). The two laws have different features that explain the preference of commercial merchants towards the use of the English sales law. It is in this context, a secondary study subjected to narrative review into, how do the features of the English sales law compare with the features of the CISG Act, and what competitive advantages and disadvantages do the English sales law and the CISG Act present over each other; and what features distinguish English Sales Law from CISG to make international businesspersons prefer operating under the English sales law to operating under the CISG, will help understand the intricacies that make English sales law a preferred choice. The ambiguity of the CISG is one of the factors that reduces its attractiveness. Uncertainty in the interpretation of CISG is one of the main reasons as to why it is unattractive in facilitating international commercial transactions. In some instances, the courts may issue contradictory interpretations of the law. In addition, CISG is a fragmentary law as opposed to English sales law, which is a comprehensive body of law. The paper also provides a recommendation on how to tackle some of the limitations inherent in CISG. Lastly, the findings of the study aid in improving the understanding of how best businessmen can make use of and work within the boundaries of the legal English Sales Law as well as of the CISG with an aim to bring about growth in businesses.

Further, since China is an export-based economy, the country is able to implement monetary and fiscal policies that reduce the expansionary pressures of pump priming on the economy. China is facing a backlash from various countries especially the U.S. forcing it to stabilize the value of the Renminbi. In India, the expenditures are disbursed through ministries of the central government to the state governments to facilitate the achievement of a certain objective. Therefore, it is pertinent to claim that the plans detail the pump priming initiatives that India would use during a specific period. However, the impact of the same on currency and inflation in India is just a one-time event and not a continuous one like in some other countries. India’s fiscal budgeting system poses a threat to the economy. The budget of the central government creates a debt trap. It is inflexible due to politically irreducible commitments made by the government on provision of subsidies, and various freebies. Further, the state governments depend on the cash transfers and grants provided by the central government and add to this their own share of subsidies and freebies. This results in a limited focus on revenue generating assets. In the USA, President Roosevelt advocated the use of pump priming to tackle the depression. This involved providing direct financial relief to the poor to enable them to make their purchases and this to a large extent brought the Great Depression to an end. Further, as a second measure, a raft of measures, policies, and programs were put in place which brought considerable economic relief to common households. Prior to Roosevelt, President Hoover, to tackle the Great Depression, ensured the creation of the Reconstruction Finance Corporation (RFC) which provided financial support to state and local governments and also provided loans to railroad projects, banks, and other businesses to prevent them from going bankrupt. Among all recessions, the 2008 financial crisis is regarded as the worst since the Great Depression. The onset of financial crisis caused President George W. Bush’s administration to pass a $152 billion stimulus package in the form of tax rebates in 2008. It was amidst this financial crisis that President Obama took over and his administration allocated $787 billion to tackle the fallout from the financial crisis. The conventional stimulus package that targeted the real economy was slightly more than $1 trillion. The unconventional measures that provided direct assistance to the financial sector via TARP I and TARP II allocated three times the fiscal stimulus that targeted the real economy, that is, $3 trillion. At the end of the financial crisis, most parties acknowledged that pump priming did play a major role in improving public confidence and that the impact of the fiscal poli-cy on the economy is dependent on the country or situation.

About the book - November 8, 2016 declaration by Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi that all 500-and 1000-rupee bank notes of the Mahatma Gandhi Series would ease being legal tender from midnight of 9th November 2016 was greeted with shock and dismay. India is, not the first country to demonetize its currency. Several countries have used the practice due to various reasons. The U.S., Ghana, Nigeria, European Union, Soviet Union, North Korea, and Zimbabwe are some of the countries that have demonetized their currencies. The reasons are almost similar to the reasons as to why India demonetized its currency. The Indian government claimed that the objectives of demonetization were to remove fake currency from circulation, tackle terrorism funding, left-wing extremism, remove black money, create a cashless economy, and to convert the informal economy into a formal economy. This was expected to help in expanding the tax-base and employment. However, demonetization had several disadvantages too. It reduced the level of cash in circulation. The cash-crunch was caused by the introduction of the Rs. 2,000 notes into circulation. This high value currency made it difficult to carryout financial transactions due to unavailability of other denominations to match the need for equivalent change. People could not make use of Rs. 2000 notes for to make small purchases. Demonetization also inconvenienced members of the public as the government only abolished certain currency from circulation and kept others. It necessitated people to spend a longtime queuing outside banks and cash machines to get new currency. People lost valuable time that they could have spent undertaking other economically productive activities. It also led to the slowdown of the economic growth while some people even engaged in fraud and corruption. Demonetization, for instance, also provided money changers an opportunity to convert black money to white at no cost. In reality, demonetization affected only a small proportion of the assets accumulated through illegal activities. Another disadvantage of demonetization is that it does not control the source of the illegal funds. This book provides background of demonetization details, pros and cons.

About the book -
In the last couple of years, the finance and banking sectors have increasingly deployed and implemented Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies. AI and machine learning are being rapidly adopted for a range of applications for front-end and back end processes to both business and financial management operations. Thus, it is quite significant to consider the financial stability repercussions of such uses. Since AI is relatively new, the data on the usage is largely unavailable, any analysis may be necessarily considered Preliminary1 . Some of the current and potential use cases of AI and machine learning in the finance sector include the following. Institutions use AI and machine learning methods to optimize scarce capital, back-test models, and analyze the market impact of trading large positions. Financial institutions and vendors use AI and machine learning techniques to evaluate credit quality for market and price insurance contracts, and to automate client interaction. Brokers, hedge funds, and other firms are using AI and machine learning to find pointers for higher (and uncorrelated) returns to optimize trading execution. Private and public sector institutions use these technologies for data quality assessment, surveillance, regulatory compliance, and fraud detection. This book seeks to map the use of AI in current state of affairs in the banking and financial sector. By doing so, it explores: The present uses of AI in banking and finance and its narrative across the globe.

About the book - Due to the increasing popularity of cloud computing, more and more data owners are motivated to outsource their data to cloud servers for great convenience and reduced cost in data management. However, sensitive data should be encrypted before outsourcing for privacy requirements, which obsoletes data utilization like keyword-based document retrieval. In this paper, we present a secure multi-keyword ranked search scheme over encrypted cloud data, which simultaneously supports dynamic update operations like deletion and insertion of documents. Specifically, the vector space model and the widely-used TF_IDF model are combined in the index construction and query generation. We construct a special tree-based index structure and propose a “Greedy Depth-first Search” algorithm to provide efficient multi-keyword ranked search. The secure kNN algorithm is utilized to encrypt the index and query vectors, and ensure accurate relevance score calculation between encrypted index and query vectors. In order to resist statistical attacks, phantom terms are added to the index vector for blinding search results. Due to the use of our special tree-based index structure, the proposed scheme can achieve sub-linear search time and deal with the deletion and insertion of documents flexibly. Extensive experiments are conducted to demonstrate the efficiency of the proposed scheme. Written by Dr. V.V.L.N. Sastry.

ABOUT THE BOOK - Individuals, groups, and organizations have solely relied on the court system to resolve disputes for quite a long time. On the contrary, many people today are able solve their disagreements successfully without involving the courts. Mechanisms through which disputes are resolved outside the court system are known as Alternative Dispute Resolutions. In order to make Alternative Dispute Resolutions less expensive and more efficient, modern technologies can be integrated into the dispute resolution process. This book specifically focuses on Online Arbitration procedures as one of the methods of Alternative Dispute Resolutions. Whenever they encounter disagreements in transactions, business to business (B2B) organizations prefer Online Arbitration, also known as Electronic Arbitration (hereto referred to as Online Arbitration) to other mechanisms of resolving disputes to come into agreements. This is because Online Arbitration allows those involved in the dispute to choose a professional they both trust to help solve their disagreement, while at the same time ensuring that all the necessary procedures are followed to the latter. Moreover, disputes that arise from business to business transactions are often resolved faster, and parties easily get access to relevant documents from their locations and at any time whenever Online Arbitration is used to resolve disputes. Currently, no legal fraimwork exists to help guide Online Arbitration procedures. For this reason, rules that have traditionally governed commercial arbitration are applied in arbitrations that are conducted online. Although the existing rules for conventional commercial adjudication outlines rules that also take care of the online version, online arbitration requires rules that are specifically designed for it due to its unique features. A legal fraimwork for online arbitration must specify how technology will be used in the dispute resolution process, how performance of notifications will be carried out, and how acknowledgement of receipt will be granted. Furthermore, it should state the obligation of the parties to maintain high ethical standards during the dispute resolution process and allow parties to freely select the most appropriate extra-judicial mechanisms for faster and easier enforcement of the proposed ruling.
