Helga Kolb
Helga Kolb PhD is an expert on neuroanatomy of the vertebrate retina. She has been in eye research since 1961 beginning in the Institute of Ophthalmology, London. In 1966 she emigrated to the USA and there followed positions in Wilmer Institute, Baltimore, National Eye Institute (NEI), NINDS, and University of Utah and finally in the Moran Eye Center at the U of U in Salt Lake City. Upon retirement as an Emeritus professor, Helga remains committed to summarizing the structure of the eye, retina and initial parts of the visual system in her on line book- WEBVISION. With 3 coeditors this website is available world wide and is a free educational resource for for the world's vision community and any interested readers.
