To evaluate Heidegger's thoughts about modernity, we must combine his concept of temporality and ... more To evaluate Heidegger's thoughts about modernity, we must combine his concept of temporality and clarify the pertinent superficial opinions. In Heidegger, temporality completely breaks through the boundary between objective and subjective perspectives of time in the history of Western philosophy. While bringing being into the horizon of time, it also gives the meaning of Dasine to time and then, through the transition from existentialism to ontological analysis, defines time as a four-dimensional unity. Heidegger's thoughts about modernity sincerely invoke his concept of temporality, which is deconstructive to a certain extent but also constructive. The problems continue as follows: in methodology, it is not oriented towards beauty itself but seeks ground in orthodox classic texts, with over-interpreting and misconceiving; its theoretical foundation is a mixture of practical theory and existential-essence theory, and obsessively wants to establish ontology, which results in a false; therefore, the "aesthetic revolution" claimed by it is nothing in meaning. In the last part, a brief description of the being of beauty based on the ontological aesthetics I advocated is given.

However, the existence category that it claims to come from Heidegger is fundamentally limited to "survival"; for Heidegger's thought, it is a one-sided misunderstanding. At the same time, it does not get rid of the essence body theory, namely metaphysical essentialism, to view aesthetics, which repeats the characteristics and defects of practical aesthetics. More crucially, practice-existential aesthetics continues to be a "top-down" aesthetics, always using the concept of orthodox classic works as the "first principle" to set the ultimate substance for aesthetics and beauty. Even if it accepts and absorbs Heidegger's thought of being, it is still in order to maintain the authority of practice as the "first principle" or the essence body. In this way, practice-existential aesthetics missed the specific aesthetic acts and the phenomenon of beauty at the end.

However, they confuse the contemporary ontology represented by Heidegger with existentialism or humanism. As for methodology, they are also limited to Hegel's logic and do not understand Heidegger's phenomenological method of thinking about being. This article traces back to the source theoretically, analyses the errors in the above aspects and the causes, and points out that the real future of contemporary Chinese aesthetics lies in constructing aesthetics as a science, not an "anthropology".

Concepts are all products of phenomena in particular cultural fields, bearing the deep imprint of historical conditions. As a result of human cognition, the concept of class is essentially one of the meanings that people endow society with, where people in turn find their place. It is in the process of generation, evolution, grafting, inversion, consumption and reconstruction of meaning, meanwhile culture is configured. However, the cultural field's vast and intangible function makes it difficult to realize and surpass it. For this reason, scientific research must ask what the foundation is and if it is self-evident.

Using the genetic method, i.e.investigating the history of the problem's generation, the author wishes it will arouse renewed attention to methodology and truly realize the innovation and breakthrough of humanities research.
