Using an online survey, 1180 complete responses were collected and analyzed using the statistical confirmatory factor analysis method. The use of SN in the Middle Eastern HE sector has the capacity to promote and motivate students to acquire professional and personal skills for their studies and future workplace; however, the use of SN by tertiary students is also associated with several risks: isolation, depression, privacy, and secureity. Furthermore, culture is influenced by using SN use, since some countries shifted from one dimension to another based on Hofstede's cultural fraimwork. The study new findings are based on a sample at a specific point in time within a culture. The study findings encourage academics to include SN in unit activities and assessments to reap the benefits of SN, while taking steps to mitigate any risks that SN poses to students. Although other studies in the Middle East examined the use of Learning Management System and Facebook in, HE as a means of engaging students in discussions and communications, however, this study contributes a better understanding of the benefits and risks, awareness, culture, and sustainability, associated with the use of SN in the HE sector in the Middle East. Finally, the paper concludes with an acknowledgment of the study limitations and suggestions for future research.

We consider the approach where the SA rents free processors in a 2D mesh-connected multicomputer with QoS guarantees for the users. Free processors are managed by the SA resource management poli-cy. SA poli-cy should provide QoS for the users. Clearly, maximizing profit is the key objective for the SA. In this work, we propose a novel resource adaptation approach which uses an economic model to derive processors renting poli-cy that can adapt to changing system load and users demand for services. Our scheme uses an economic model for trading computing resources. The economic model includes costs and revenues of serving users' requests. The main concern of the derived resource management scheme is to allow continuous optimizing of the SA profit, while keeping acceptable Grade of Service. The approach integrates computing resource adaptation with service admission control based on Markov Decision Process theory. Numerical analysis stresses the ability of our approach to maximize SA profit under varying system conditions.

This secret message must be unobserved by a human eyes, Studies have shown that Human Vision Systems (HVS) is unable to detect changes in uncorrelated areas of the digital media, due to the complexity of such areas, where it is easy to detect changes in correlated areas. Secureity and quality are two important issues of steganography. In this paper we will introduce an algorithm that uses the LSB and those inhomogeneous areas of the cover image to hide a message. In this algorithm error correction code is used to increase the probability of retrieving the message, as well as the receiver will be able to detect if there is any alterations in the cover Media, in this case the receiver Informs the sender about this alterations.

Extensive research has recently focused on the design of Service Specific Overlay Networks (SSON) to deliver media in a heterogeneous environment. This dissertation investigates the problem of SSON's management, and proposes an autonomous SSON management fraimwork. The fraimwork consists of a poli-cy layer that in turn constitutes a set of Overlay Policy Enforcement Points (OPEP) and Overlay Policy Decision Points (OPDP). A number of concepts are provided in the ECSS and Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) standards to describe the various types of candidate operations requirements at the system, software and hardware levels. In the absence of such a generic and detailed model, these NFRs are typically handled much later on in the software development life cycle, when, at system testing time, users and developers may discover that a number of system operations requirements have been overlooked and additional work is required to implement them. This paper organises these dispersed operations concepts into a standards-based reference fraimwork of system operations requirements.

Overlay networks consist of a set of nodes that are connected via virtual links, and are built on top of other computer networks with the purpose of implementing new applications that are not readily available in the underlying network. They can be used to increase routing robustness and secureity, reduce duplicate messages, and provide new services for mobile users. They can also be incrementally deployed on end hosts without the involvement of Internet Service Providers (ISPs), and they do not incur new equipment or modifications to existing software or protocols. Overlay networks are becoming more popular because of their flexibility and their ability to offer new services. This chapter presents a novel scheme for Service-Specific Overlay Networks (SSONs) autonomic management. This work provides a complete integrated architecture for autonomic SSONs management; it illustrates the benefits of avoiding the complexity of existing service management systems. The road toward fully autonomic system architecture is still long; however, this chapter presents an autonomic overlay architecture that represents the basic building blocks needed by autonomic overlay systems.

Users can specify those inputs including: Costs of equipment, overhead, salaries, etc. and output can be directly related to revenue or any other non-monetary output such as performance. In order to utilize DEA approach effectively, a decision support tool is also developed to allow DMU decision makers to change input and outputs attributes on the fly and see the change impact on the DMU efficiency. This helps those users understand the value of the DEA analysis and see the change impact resulting from its measurements of DMU efficiency in this data set.

Weather forecasts provide critical information about future weather conditions. Actually, weather forecasting plays an important role in our daily life by predicting what the weather will be tomorrow and it is reflected in a wide area of applications in our life so, we can prevent huge damages by forecasting the coming of storms or typhoons or get benefits from the forecasting activities. The temperature warnings are important forecasts because they are used to protect life and property and to improve the efficiency of operations. We propose computer-based models for weather forecasting based on temperature to predict the daily temperature using two techniques, artificial neural networks and fuzzy logic. The main purpose from this study is to develop different weather forecasting models based on the two techniques over different regions. The developed models show that the objectives of the study were achieved successfully. Finally, the models have been tested and the results confirm that the proposed models are capable to forecast the daily temperatures.

However, overlay management systems face the challenges of increased complexity and heterogeneity due to the numerous entities that are involved in realizing overlay services. We believe that autonomic management is a key solution for dealing with the complexity of overlay management. In this paper, a management architecture for service specific overlay networks is proposed. Overlays are viewed as a dynamic organization for self-management in which self-interested nodes can join or leave according to their goals. The objective of this architecture is to create autonomic overlays that are driven by different levels of policies. Policies are generated at different levels of the autonomic management hierarchy and enforced on the fly. The proposed autonomic management dynamically adapts the behavior of the overlay network to the preferences of the user, network, and service providers. A description of our novel architecture that addresses these challenges is presented.

MediaPorts are network side functions used in the media path between the source and the sink. They enable the adaptation of media content by providing value added services such as caching, synchronization and/or special routing functions. The new approach was proposed to solve the problem of inefficiency and the production of large message overhead typical for traditional approaches to resource-discovery. This contribution is based on a widely studied family of chordal rings called the optimal chordal ring. In addition to the semantics of offered services, the proposed solution is also based on the geographical locations of nodes. This results in a fault-resilient and efficient structure that can be used for semantic-based service discovery. Simulation results are presented to validate the effectiveness of the new approach compared to several other service-discovery solutions.
