Catechism is a forum for fostering and educating young people so that they can profess their fait... more Catechism is a forum for fostering and educating young people so that they can profess their faith before God and be witnessed by the Lord's congregation during the session. The catechism was designed for at least two years, one year to study the Bible and one year to outline the main points of the church's beliefs and the demands of Christian life in this world. The problem that occurs in the GMIT Sonhonis Oelbubuk is that the level of youth understanding of the teaching of catechism given by the instructor is very lacking. This study aims to find the level of youth understanding about catechism in the Church. The method used in this study is a survey technique with a quantitative approach. The population and sample are youth in the GMIT Sonhonis Oelbubuk. The results showed that the level of understanding of youth in the GMIT Sonhonis Oelbubuk about catechism was 79.53%, the results were included in the quite high category.

Pertumbuhan gereja adalah harapan bagi setiap orang Kristen khususnya bagi pemimpin dalam gereja. Pertumbuhan gereja dapat dipengaruhi oleh banyak faktor dan salah satunya adalah khotbah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mencari tahu pengaruh khotbah bagi pertumbuhan gereja. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian kuantitatif dengan survey sebagai kekuatan dalam mengumpulkan data dilapangan. Adapun yang menjadi sampel penelitian adalah anggota jemaat yang berasal dari beberapa denominasi gereja. Analisis data dilakukan dengan prosedur statistik yaitu mendeskripsikan data hasil penelitian, melakukan uji persyaratan analisis dan pengujian terhadap hipotesis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara khotbah terhadap pertumbuhan gereja yaitu diangka 74,7%. Pengaruh paling dominan adalah pada pertumbuhan secara kualitatif.

Quantitative research methods with the quasi experiment nonequeivalent control group design approach was used as a research method. The experimental study involved two groups of students, the experimental group and the control group, each of which was given pre-test and post-test. The target population of 62 students was divided into two different groups. Each consisted of 32 students in the experimental group and 30 students in the control group. This paper aimed to recollect the awareness of the Pentecostal spirit that cannot be separated from social solidarity. The method used in this study was an interpretive descriptive method on Acts 2:41-47. Through this study, it could be concluded that social solidarity is not a strategy to win souls, but is an inherent essence of a congregation filled with the Holy Spirit.

There are a variety of different views that emerge to address the problem of suffering and disaster. This study aims to find out one view of suffering, that is, from the evangelicals. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative using the literature as a source of data. From the results of the study the authors found that the evangelical view of suffering is that they consider suffering and disaster to be the will and sovereignty of God. Gereja yang seharusnya menjadi tempat membentuk dan menumbuhkan nilai karakter Kristiani, salah satunya karakter kejujuran, tidak pelak dinodai oleh tindakan oknum-oknum dalam gereja itu sendiri, baik oleh jemaat maupun pemimpin jemaat. Masalah seperti pengelolaan keuangan yang tidak transparan, ketidakjujuran dalam hal memberi persembahan adalah contoh kecilnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mencari beberapa hal yang menjadi permasalah berkaitan dengan praktik ketidakjujuran dalam jemaat. Metode yang digunakan Pada penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan studi kepustakaan. The purpose of this study was to find out about household conflict with the character of children in the GMIT Betania Nevo Klasis Amarasi Barat. The method used in this study is a survey technique using quantitative. The population in this study were members of the GMIT Betania Nevo Klasis Amarasi Barat with a total sample of 44 people. Data collection was carried out by questionnaire and data obtained from the results of the study were analyzed with statistical procedures and techniques. Based on the results of the analysis in this study, it was found that the difference between the house and the character of children in the GMIT Betania Nevo Klasis Amarasi Barat was 46.4% and the rest was used by other factors. The aim of this study is to analyze and describe tolerance studies based on the folklore of the people of Rote in East Nusa Tenggara. As research conducted by Rantesalu and Iswanto (2018), defines tolerance values based on the stories of the people of the Toraja community, namely the value of acceptability and understanding combined with togetherness and complementary. Another empirical paradigm was obtained from Hofner (2018) which explains the tolerance is influenced by social and political contexts. This research is focused on the specificity of the perception of tolerance that is formed from values based on folklore data. The method used is descriptive qualitative method and enriched with Ricour hermeneutic method in text analysis. The data obtained in the form of a folklore titled Landu, which tells the history of the formation of the Landu community on the island of Rote. The Landu Kingdom is one of the 19 kingdoms on Rote Island in the 14th century. Based on the data obtained the results of research on tolerance values contained in CRMR Landu are (1) This acceptability and understanding as a base the basis of tolerance is explained by the verb diadik loke // hule 'beri // kasih' and (2) the value of brotherhood based on the form of diadik dalek // teik 'rasa // inner', inak // touk 'father // mother '.Keywords: Tolerance, Text, Value Abstrak: Toleransi sebagai sebuah nilai diwujudkan dalam perilaku kehidupan suatu kelompok masyarakat. Tujuan penelitian ini ialah meganalisa dan mendeskripsikan kajian toleransi berdasarkan cerita rakyat masyarakat Rote di Nusa Tenggara Timur. Sebagaimana penelitian yang dilakukan oleh Rantesalu dan Iswanto (2018), mendefinisikan nilai toleransi berdasarkan ceritera rakyat masyarakat Toraja yang di dalamnya terdapat internalisasi nilai keberterimaan dan kesepahaman (acceptability and understanding). Selanjutnya, nilai-nilai tersebut disejajarkan dengan kebersamaan (togetherness) dan saling melengkapi (complementary). Paradigma empiris lainnya diperoleh dari Hofner (2018) yang menjelaskan toleransi yang ditimbulkan dari konteks politik di Indonesia. Penelitian ini lebih difukuskan pada kekhasan persepsi toleransi yang terbentuk dari nilai berdasarkan data cerita rakyat. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif yang diperkaya dengan metode hermeneutik Ricour dalam analisa teks. Data yang diperoleh berupa cerita rakyat berjudul Landu, yang menceritakan sejarah terbentuknya masyarakat Landu di pulau Rote. Kerajaan Landu adalah salah satu kerajaan dari 19 kerajaan di Pulau Rote pada abad ke-14. Berdasarkan data diperoleh hasil penelitian nilai toleransi yang terdapat dalam CRMR Landu adalah (1) Nilai keberterimaan dan kesepahaman (acceptability and understanding) ini sebagai alas dasar toleransi dijelaskan berdasarkan verba diadik loke//hule ‘beri//kasih’ dan (2) nilai persaudaraan (brotherhood) yang berdasarkan pada bentuk diadik dalek//teik ‘rasa//batin’, inak//touk ‘ayah//ibu’. This study uses qualitative methods through direct observation in the field. The results showed that the democratic parenting applied by parents is in the form of good control of each child's actions and behavior, parents are very responsive to every child's needs, parents always provide learning about the impact caused by each child's actions, people parents accept the limits of abilities possessed by children, parents provide freedom for their children to choose and take an action within certain limits and parents become good examples for their children.
