The synthesized AuNPs exhibited a spherical shape and a monodisperse and fluorescence emission characteristic peak at 650 nm. The AuNPs –BMPBP was demonstrated as sensitive and selective fluorescent chemosensor for detection of Al 3+ ion. In the presence of Al 3+ ion, the fluorescent emission of BMPBP-AuNPs at 650 nm, increased with an increasing concentration of Al 3+ ion with a low detection limit (2 µM), the proposed method provided to apply determination of Al 3+ ion of tap water with satisfactory results.

Its mean plane is twisted with respect to the 4-methoxybenzoyl ring, with a dihedral angle of 63.0 (3)°. The central N—C(=S)—N(H)—C(=O) bridge is twisted with an N—C—N—C torsion angle of 74.8 (6)°. In the crystal, molecules are linked by N—H...O and C—H...O hydrogen bonds, forming chains along the c-axis direction. Adjacent chains are linked by C—H...π interactions, forming layers parallel to the ac plane. The layers are linked by offset π–π interactions [intercentroid distance = 3.927 (3) Å], forming a supramolecular three-dimensional structure.

In this study, non-plasticized PIM containing poly(vinyl chloride) as a support base, sodium morin-5-sulfonate (NaMSA) as a reagent and Aliquat 336 as a fixed carrier (ionophore) was prepared and its performance was tested for application in an optode to determine Al(3+) ions. The results showed that PIM properties are greatly influenced by the membrane composition. The studies revealed that the optode response was dependent on film thickness, the presence of plasticizer, stirring effect, concentration of NaMSA, concentration of Aliquat 336 and pH of the aqueous solution used. The dynamic range of Al(3+) ions concentration determined using this optode was linear from 5.19 × 10(-7) to 6.00 × 10(-5) mol L(-1) and the calculated limit of detection (L.O.D.) was found to be 4.07 × 10(-7) mol L(-1). Co (II) complex (CMLA) was investigated to evaluate the rate of wound healing in rats. Animals we... more Co (II) complex (CMLA) was investigated to evaluate the rate of wound healing in rats. Animals were placed into four groups: gum acacia, Intrasite gel, 10 and 20 mg/ml of CMLA. Wounds were made on the dorsal neck area, then treated with Intrasite gel or CMLA; both of these treatments led to faster healing than with gum acacia. Histology of the wounds dressed with CMLA or Intrasite gel displayed a smaller scar width, required less time to heal and showed more collagen staining and fewer inflammatory cells in comparison to wounds dressed with the vehicle. Immunohistochemistry for Hsp70 and TGF-β showed greater staining intensity in the treated groups compared to the vehicle group. Bax staining was less intense in treated groups compared to the vehicle group, suggesting that CMLA and Intrasite gel provoked apoptosis, responsible for the development of granulation tissue into a scar. Pencirian awal bagi tindak balas larutan kompleks reagen eriokrom sianin R-aluminium (ECR-Al) dan... more Pencirian awal bagi tindak balas larutan kompleks reagen eriokrom sianin R-aluminium (ECR-Al) dan krom azurol S-aluminium (CAS-Al) dengan ion fluorida telah dijalankan menggunakan alat spektrofotometer UL-nampak. Hasil analisis ke atas spektrum serapan menunjukkan bahawa kedua-dua kompleks reagen tersebut dapat mengesan kehadiran ion fluorida. Kajian lain seperti pengoptimuman pH, graf kalibrasi dan kebolehulangan turut dilakukan ke atas kedua-dua larutan kompleks reagen. Fasa reagen disediakan secara penjerapan kompleks ECR-Al dan CAS-Al di atas ko-polimer XAD 2 dengan reagen terpegun kemudiannya digandingkan di bahagian hujung gentian optik dwicabang. Prob keluli direndamkan dalam larutan fluorida untuk menghasilkan satu sistem transduksi kimia. Pengukuran kepantulan bagi reagen terpegun sebelum dan selepas bertindak balas dengan analit dijalankan dengan menggunakan alat spektrometer gentian optik.
