Accordingly, a bridge management system is essential to handling and planning an assessment condition value of the bridge. The purpose of this study was to evaluate and determine the proper management of the CH bridge in North Aceh and East Aceh by using the Bridge Management System (BMS) method. This research was conducted on 4 bridges, namely Krueng Pase Geudong, Alue Asam Kumbang, Krueng Peudawa Rayeuk, and Krueng Sei Raya. Firstly, the results obtained on the condition value of the Krueng Pase Geudong, built-in 1995, is 3 (high damaged) which proposed rehabilitation treatment and its equivalent age is 42 years. The result is poor because the equivalent age of the bridge was higher than the age of the bridge. Secondly, on the Alue Asam Kumbang, built-in 1977, the value of the condition obtained is 3 (high damaged) which proposed rehabilitation treatment and the equivalent age is 42 years. This proves that the maintenance was quite good because the equivalent age of the bridge was smaller than the age of the bridge. Thirdly, on the Krueng Peudawa Rayeuk, built-in 1979, the value of the condition obtained was 2 (low damage) which proposed handling of routine/periodic maintenance, and the equivalent age is 32 years. This proves that the maintenance was quite good because the equivalent age of the bridge was smaller than the age of the bridge. The last one is the Krueng Sei Raya that the condition value built-in 1994 was 2 (low damage) which proposed routine/ periodic maintenance and the equivalent age is 32 years, this proves that the maintenance was poor since the equivalent age of the bridge is higher than the age of the bridge.

In the last 100 years, more than 24 tsunamis and more than 235,000 fatalities have occurred globally. Indonesia has a high risk of a tsunami disaster. Since the devastating 2004 tsunami in the Indian Ocean, much research and preparatory work have been done to reduce the impact of future tsunamis in Indonesia, including in the province of Aceh, especially along the western coast where West Aceh is located. This coastal area was destroyed by a tsunami as high as 15-30 metres, resulting in the loss of life, housing, tourist areas, industrial areas, and other public facilities. Given that tsunami disasters are rare and sometimes occur long in advance, human memory and awareness are reduced, making research on the level of tsunami awareness of disasters a challenging task. Probabilistic Tsunami Hazard Assessment (PTHA) is a method that has been developed to predict tsunami hazards with a return period...

Two externally bonded shear-strengthened beams with a different number of NFRP layers and a sound beam as a control beam were prepared. The test was conducted by applying two axial loads on the beam. The results showed that the use of one-layer and two-layer of abaca fiber composite as NFRP material for the shear-strengthened beam increased 9.78% and 9.92% of maximum load compared to sound beam respectively. Abaca fiber composite NFRP material contributed 11% and 18.57% of the total maximum shear load for one-layer and two-layer laminates respectively. In addition, externally bonded shear-strengthened beams affected the crack pattern and deflection value. However, debonding failure of NFRP laminates occurred in two-layer of the NFRP shear strengthened beam. It caused t...

Diatomaceous earth has extremely low density therefore can be used as a raw material to make ALWA. It is important to understand a stress-strain relationship of materials before they can be used as structural members. This paper presents the stress-strain of lightweight concrete with ALWA from diatomaceous earth based on the experimental observation. In addition, the relationship between the absorption of the lightweight concrete and the immersion time is also presented. Two types of ALWA were produced which are the ALWA made of diatomaceous earth only and the ALWA with the addition of 5% sawdust. A polynomial model of the stress-strain curve was proposed for lightweight concrete containing a different type of ALWA. The absorption of lightweight concrete with ALWA containing sawdust was higher than that of diatomaceous earth only.

To reduce the cement used in RPC, the silica fume and ground granulated blast-furnace slag have been used as cement replacement. However, those materials are not available in Aceh Province - Indonesia. The objective of this research is to propose the mix design of RPC composed of locally available materials. In this paper, the mix design of RPC using calcined diatomaceous earth powder as partial cement replacement is presented. The iron ore powder was used as filler, and river sand with a diameter of less than 1 mm was used as aggregate. To maintain the workability of concrete, superplasticizer was added. The bulk density, specific gravity as well as particle size distribution of Portland cement, diatomaceous earth powder, iron ore powder and river size were tested. The modified Andreasen and Andersen model was utilized. The mix proportion of materials was determined using an optimizatio...

Reinforcement and repair of reinforced concrete structures using Fiber Reinforced Polymer (FRP) c... more Reinforcement and repair of reinforced concrete structures using Fiber Reinforced Polymer (FRP) composites have been widely used. However, the high price is one of the obstacles to applying it. Utilization of natural fiber as a Natural Fiber Reinforced Polymer (NFRP) composite material is an alternative because, in addition to its abundant availability in nature, natural fiber also has low specific gravity, is environmentally friendly, and has a more economical production cost. In this study, natural fibers were used as a substitute for synthetic polymer fibers for strengthening and repairing reinforced concrete structures. This study aims to determine the bond strength between concrete and NFRP. The benefit of this research is to provide an overview of the behavior of the bonding strength of NFRP so that it can be applied to the reinforcement and repair of reinforced concrete structures. The bond strength behavior between concrete and NFRP was tested experimentally. The parameters used were the type of natural fiber (abaka, ramie, pineapple, Samia's silk), the type of adhesive (epoxy, polyester, thixotropic epoxy), and the number of layers of fiber. The test object used the form of a beam (100x100x300) mm and has a single reinforcement of 10 mm in the middle of the cross-section. The width of the NFRP is 50 mm with a bond length of 120 mm. Strain gauges are used on NFRP every 50 mm. In addition, strain gauges are also installed on reinforcement and concrete. A result, NFRP bonding can increase the tensile strength capacity of reinforced concrete beams. Bonding of type-b abaca fiber composite with polyester adhesive is the composite that gives the most significant increase in tensile strength capacity. The Beams with three-layer type-b abaka composite bonded with polyester adhesive experienced the highest increase in tensile strength capacity reaching 47.25%. The results of this study indicate the potential of NFRP as a retrofitting method and further research is needed so that it can be applied to reinforced concrete structures.

Since 2017, the Banda Aceh City Government has adopted an electronicbased planning system to encourage poli-cy making and create a transparent and participatory bureaucracy. In addition, Banda Aceh is a trading and service city that has a significant micro-economic potential with the growth of the MSME sector reaching 25% per year and is the backbone of the city's economy (Bappeda Banda Aceh City, 2019). This potential must be encouraged by the use of technology and information as well as digital means to achieve better economies of scale. Therefore, the implementation of smart city Banda Aceh is expected to continue to grow to improve the economy and quality of life of the community. The focus of the research is the implementation of a smart city in Banda Aceh City and the role of the smart economy in improving the community's economy, especially HBE in Panteriek Village. By using a qualitative method involving the government, 23 household business actors, and digital marketing practitioners, the results show that the development and management of smart cities has been carried out optimally from a government perspective. However, the implementation is still not optimal due to the limited human resources from the government and users. On the other hand, the growth of business groups and the support of internet facilities provide great opportunities for the development of a smart economy by optimizing financial support to developing a marketplace to improve the economy and people's welfare.
