Cupping therapy is regulated in Saudi Arabia by the National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine, Ministry of Health. The authors recommend that this quality model to select patients in cupping clinics-version 1 (QMSPCC-1)dbe used routinely as part of clinical practice and quality management in cupping clinics. The aim of the quality model is to ensure the safety of patients and to introduce and facilitate quality and auditing processes in cupping therapy clinics. Clinical evaluation of this tool is recommended. Continued development, reevaluation and reassessment of this tool are important.

The results showed that the Ruthana dates contain a high percentage of phenols and flavonoids, reaching 119.2 %, and 55.6 %, respectively. The antioxidant activity was also measured by several methods. The methanol extract of Ruthana showed significant effectiveness in inhibiting free radicals in the DPPH test. The highest inhibition rate was (79%) with an IC50 value of (3.97±0.21 mg Trolox/g plant), and (3.9035±0.380 μg/ml) on nitric oxide radical. The FRAP and ABTS tests showed higher sensitivity to antioxidants with IC50 values (4.08±0.26 mg of Trolox/ g of plant extract, and 4.18±0.26 mg of TEAC/ g of plant extract), respectively. The antioxidant activity was significantly correlated with the anti-inflammatory activity, the methanolic extract showed activity in preventing heat-catalyzed protein denaturation with a ratio of (74%), and IC50 (3.835±0.380 µg/ml), and at RBC'S membrane stabilization the effectiveness of the extract reached (68%) with IC5 value (6.215±0.238 µg/ml). The results showed a concordance between the phenolic content and the antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activity. Accordingly, the fruits of Ruthana dates constitute a promising possibility for isolating the active compounds and introducing them into the pharmaceutical industries in the future.

The COVID-19 pandemic, on the other hand, has had an impact on all parts of society, notably efforts to combat antimicrobial resistance (AMR). The pandemic has highlighted that a greater burden on medical infrastructure can contribute to higher, often unnecessary antibiotic usage and a de-prioritization of antimicrobial stewardship and surveillance (AMS). The focus of this research is to see if there is a growth in antibiotic resistance during the covid-19 pandemic in the King Salman Hospital in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and to investigate the subcomponent that leads to antibiotic resistance. This is a comprehensive review of patients hospitalized at the King Salman Hospital in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, who were admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) during the first wave of the ...

While CME blended with test-enhanced internet activity is more suitable for healthcare training, there is a need to evaluate the use of blended learning techniques in complementary medicine. Objectives: The study aimed at evaluating the effect of blended internet CME activity on knowledge, knowledge retention, and intellectual skill in cupping providers compared with conventional CME activity. Methodology: Cluster-randomized, open, non-inferiority controlled trial. Participants were recruited from the National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine registered cupping providers database and Informed consent was taken before allocation into three groups (classes). Classes were randomized into (1) Blended Internet CME; (2) Face-to-face conventional CME group, and (3) Control group. ANCOVA was used to compare post interventions scores using the baseline score as a covariate. Two-tailed values of p < 0.05 were considered statistically significant. Immediate knowledge score, retention knowledge score and skills score were compared within and between the groups. Results: 62 cupping practitioners completed the intervention in the blended internet and the conventional CME groups. Using ANCOVA, study groups adjusted means showed significant difference in terms of knowledge (post-test) score (F (2, 90) = 32.011, p = .000) and knowledge retention (F (1, 38) = 7.167, p = .011) and skill (post-test) score (F (2, 89) = 147.314, p = .000). Conclusions: Blended internet CME activity significantly increased post-test knowledge, knowledge retention and skill scores, compared to conventional CME activity among cupping practitioners. Blended internet CME activities can be used to enhance the quantity and quality of CME among cupping practitioners.

However healthcare consumers' knowledge, attitude, behaviour and perception concerning different items of drug leaflets differ across the board. Objective: This study aimed to explore knowledge, attitude, behaviour and perception of patients towards drug/patient information leaflets in Riyadh, capital city of Saudi Arabia.
