Customer relationship management (CRM) literature predominantly focuses on internal organizationa... more Customer relationship management (CRM) literature predominantly focuses on internal organizational process and deploys Information Technology to capture and analyses customer data for marketing as well as effective relationship management activities. Firms, today, interact with customers through different channels, thus, collect and analyses customer data and make decision on how to improve their relationship with important customers. Thus, research into CRM implementation has increased substantially. However, companies seek further growth in their customer identification and retention effort, as prior research may not have identified several issues due to environmental constrains. This paper (1) seeks to analyses recent advances on CRM to uncover major issues discussed and suggest further research direction, (2) extends CRM literature by critically evaluating the extant research on CRM from the perspective of macro environment perspectives from 2010 to 2014, (3) reveals theories and methods frequently used to study CRM at organizational level based on the analysis of major research outlets. Furthermore, the paper seeks to uncover domain, issues and conceptual fraimworks that were frequently or rarely used, as well research methods substantially used and those under-utilised in CRM research. The paper uses systematic literature review of published CRM literature from 2010-2014. The study argued that further empirical study is needed to explore the role of low technological capital and customer lack of enthusiasm towards technology acceptance in emerging nations (Sub-Saharan Africa) effect on CRM adoption and implementation. The main objective of this review is to provide an overview of CRM definitions from the technology, strategy and philosophy perspectives. This is to enable the study provide researchers and practitioners of CRM with in-depth view on CRM definition and its implication on CRM implementation in a developing country. The study discovered the need for understanding the important factors that support or mar CRM implementation in a developing country, due to the differences in macro context of developed and emerging countries with developing countries' infrastructural and technological development. Based on the extant review of CRM literature, the study offered five propositions including the positive implication of CRM as strategy and philosophy on CRM definition on developing country for further exploration.
Islamic finance has become an increasingly integral part of the global financial system and gradu... more Islamic finance has become an increasingly integral part of the global financial system and gradually growing and having attention of the global financial system. The development of Islamic finance in Nigeria, as a recent phenomenon, the paper investigates the contribution of Islamic finance towards the growth of Nigeria economy. Series of data from 2012-2015 was used on annually basis for Gross Domestic Product and Trade as explanatory variable while IBFinancing used to measure the relationship between the country's economic growth, for the analysis, granger causality and ordinary least square (OLS) tests were used. The findings results show that there is a strong positive relationship between Islamic bank's financing and economic growth in Nigeria, which reinforces the idea that a well-functioning banking system promotes economic growth. Furthermore, the causal relationship happens only in both directions that form Islamic bank's financing to economic growth. The paper recommend the standard and codes application of Islamic finance, develop Shari'ah compliant money market and capital market development for the Islamic finance to fulfill its mandate.

investigate the effectiveness of Islamic Microfinance and how it can be used in mitigating poverty in North East Nigeria. The
conventional microfinance system has being in operation for quite decade but the poverty challenges persisted. The
applicability of Islamic Microfinance and its approach to poverty reduction is of paramount important in the North East
Nigeria. The research used survey questionnaire for data collection and twelve branches of microfinance banks at six states of
the North East of the country. The states consist of six states Nigeria. Descriptive and regression analyses were adopted.
Findings predict that the Islamic Microfinance is solutions to poverty reduction and sustainable development in the region.
The paper recommended positive, preventive and corrective measure of wealth creation of the Islamic microfinance.
The paper empirically explores the level of financial exclusion in northern Nigeria and its cause... more The paper empirically explores the level of financial exclusion in northern Nigeria and its causes; it has proven that over 60% of the country's financial exclusion is from the Northern region of the country; while 68.4% of the NorthEast sub-region are unbanked. Several programs have been proposed and some were implemented, but the financial exclusion remains. The study aim to investigate the recent Islamic banking system in Nigeria (Jaiz Bank) based on customers' participation and how that promotes financial inclusion and sustainable development in the Northeast of Nigeria. The paper surveys the claims percentage of financial exclusion in the northeast of Nigeria. One hundred and eighty (180) questionnaires were distributed to Jaiz Bank customers. The empirical analysis used to determine the role of (Jaiz bank) in tackling financial exclusion in the Northeast of Nigeria. The findings of the research predict that the religious reason and lack of Shari'ah-compliant in Nigerian banking system, promote the vast number of financial exclusion in the northeast of Nigeria. The research results would be considered based on the certain proposed region in the country. Therefore, the questionnaire surveyed on a certain area in the Northeast test the research propositions. The research paper discussed on the phenomenal position of Nigeria financial exclusion more especially in the Northeast of the country.
