Tilman Aretz
German sinologist, born 1965, M.A. in Chinese Literature (1994, Ruhr University Bochum), thesis on Taiwanese writer Zhong Lihe (1915-1960). Lives in Taiwan since 1994 and works as editor for a government agency in Taiwan (Republic of China/ROC) since 1997. Published "The Greater China Factbook" (ISBN 978-986-7762-97-9) in 2007 and "Politicians in the Republic of China" (ISBN 978-957-43-0827-9) in 2013. Launched Taiwan Politics Database website (www.taiwan-database.net) on June 4, 2021 as currently main ongoing project.
