This innovative program provides experiences using project-based learning (PBL) with limited laboratory facilities for technology learning. Involved 53 pre-service physics teachers in a physics laboratory course with the affordable cost laser creation project. STEM program using correlation study with a pre-experiment one-group pre-/post-test design approach. The instruments used include an engineering problem-solving cognition test and a motivational questionnaire regarding attitude, interest, and learning response, as well as reinforced by project report documentation. The results showed a significant improvement in engineering problem-solving cognition and motivation in STEM, with a moderately strong correlation between them. Chalcones are considered to be precursors of flavonoids and have variety of biological activities... more Chalcones are considered to be precursors of flavonoids and have variety of biological activities. Three of bromochalcones derivatives were synthesized by a green chemistry approach using grinding technique and their structure also confirmed. Synthesis of bromochalcone, 4c-bromo-4-methoxychalcone, 4c-bromo-3,4-dimethoxychalcone, 4c-bromo-3,4,5-trimethoxychalcone were carried out using starting material of 4-bromoacetophenone through Claisen-Schmidt base catalyzed condensation. The structures of the synthesized compounds were confirmed by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS). The mass spectra of the compounds were showed corresponding molecular ion peak which was correlated with their molecular weight of that respected compound (4c-bromo-4methoxychalcone = 317, 4c-bromo-3,4-dimethoxychalcone = 347, 4c-bromo-3,4,5trimethoxychalcone = 377).

BAC4 by genomic library. Chromosome DNA of Bacillus sp. BAC4 was isolated by Wang method. pHB201 of E. coli was isolated by alkali lyses method. Recombinant DNA of Bacillus sp. BAC4 chromosome fragment and pHB201 was made by ligase process using T4 DNA ligase. Transformation of E. coli using this recombinant plasmid was carried out according to Mandel-Higa method. The results indicated that chromosome DNA fragment of Bacillus sp. BAC4 was bigger 23 kb with purity 1,3. Plasmid DNA fragment of E coli was 6,5 kb. Transformants laboring pHB201 recombinant plasmid was screen as blue-white colonies in a medium containing IPTG/X-gal and chloramphenicol.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tahapan model pembelajaran search, solve, create, and... more Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tahapan model pembelajaran search, solve, create, and share(SSCS) yang terdapat dalam bahan ajar guru. Penelitian ini merupakan bagian dari penelitian pengembangan yang menggunakan data kualitatif dan kuantitatif dengan lembar kesesuaian bahan ajar yang berisikan penilaian terhadap analisis tahapan model search, solve, create, and share (SSCS).Subjek penelitian ini adalah bahan ajar pada materi pokok struktur atom dan tabel periodik unsur yang disusun oleh guru-guru di dua SMA Negeri di Surakarta. Berdasarkan hasil analisis diperoleh bahwa kesesuaian bahan ajar yang disusun oleh guru kurang sesuai dengan tahap model pembelajaran search, solve, create, and share (SSCS). Kata kunci : SSCS, Struktur Atom dan Tabel Periodik Unsur Pendahuluan Pendidikan merupakan kunci kesuksesan sebuah bangsa, melalui pendidikan akan dihasilkan sumber daya manusia yang akan memajukan kehidupan bangsa. Pendidikan di Indonesia selalu berkembang, hingga saat ini kurikulum yang dikembangkan adalah Kurikulum 2013. Kurikulum 2013 memiliki tujuan yakni untuk menghasilkan sumber daya manusia yang tidak hanya memiliki pengetahuan, namun juga memiliki sikap dan keterampilan dalam hidupnya. Kurikulum 2013 menganjurkan penggunan pendekatan saintifik ataupun model pembelajaran yang mampu melatihkan keterampilan, sikap, dan pengetahuan siswa sehingga siswa dapat memecahkan masalah dalam kehidupannya. Ngalimun (2016) menyatakan bahwa masalah didefinisikan sebagai suatu persoalan yang tidak rutin, belum dikenal cara penyelesaiannya. Justru problem solving adalah mencari atau menemukan cara penyelesaian (menemukan pola, aturan atau algoritma). Sintaknya adalah sajikan permasalahan yang memenuhi kriteria, siswa berkelompok atau individual mengidentifikasi pola atau aturan yang disajikan, siswa mengidentifikasi, mengeksplorasi, menginvestigasi, menduga, dan akhirnya menemukan solusi.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) menerapkan model pembelajaran CPS dalam meningkatkan minat be... more Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) menerapkan model pembelajaran CPS dalam meningkatkan minat belajar siswa SMA Negeri Colomadu pada materi pokok termokimia. (2) menerapkan model pembelajaran CPS dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa SMA Negeri Colomadu pada materi pokok termokimia. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian tindakan kelas yang terdiri dari dua siklus. Subyek penelitian adalah siswa kelas XI. IA 2 SMA N Colomadu tahun pelajaran 2012/2013. Data yang dikumpulkan meliputi data primer, yaitu nilai prestasi siswa dan hasil observasi tindakan, dan data sekunder, yaitu dokumentasi, RPP, silabus, daftar siswa dan daftar nilai siswa. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) model pembelajaran CPS dapat meningkatkan minat belajar siswa, yaitu berdasarkan lembar observasi meningkat dari 56,33% pada siklus I menjadi 72,65% pada siklus II dan berdasarkan angket meningkat dari 58,4% pada siklus I menjadi 74,14% pada siklus II. (2) model pembelajaran CPS dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa, hasil belajar kognitif meningkat dari 62,86% pada siklus I menjadi 85,71% pada siklus II dan hasil belajar afektif meningkat dari 66,38% pada siklus I menjadi 71,67% pada siklus II.

BAC4, is known to produce penicillin G acylase (PGA) enzyme with relatively high activity. This strain secretes the PGA into the culture medium. However, it has been reported that PGA activity fall and rise during culture, and the activity plummets during storege at-20 0 C, which probably due to usage protease activity of Bacillus sp. BAC4. To study the possible use of Bacillus subtilis 1012M15 as a host cell for cloning the pga gene from Bacillus sp. BAC4, the protease activity of Bacillus subtilis 1012M15 were studied. Protease activity was determined by Horikoshi method. In this experiment, maximum protease activity in Bacillus subtilis 1012M15 culture was obsereved after 8 hours. At this optimum condition, protease activity of Bacillus sp. BAC4 is five time higher than that of Bacillus subtilis 1012M15. This situation promised the possible usage of Bacillus subtilis 1012M15 as a host cell for pga expression. For protease characterization, the bacterial culture had been separated from the cell debris by centrifugation. The filtrate was concentrated by freeze drying, fractionated by ammonium sulphate, dialyzed in selovan tube, and then fractionated by ion exchance chromatography employing DEAE-cellulose. The five peaks resulted indicated the presence of five protease. Based on inhibitor and activator influence analysis, it could be concluded that proteases from Bacillus subtilis 1012M15 contained of serin protease as well as metalloprotease and serin protease mixture.
Synthesis of flavones and their derivatives has attracted considerable attention due to their sig... more Synthesis of flavones and their derivatives has attracted considerable attention due to their significant pharmaceutical effects. 7-hydroxy-3',4'-dimethoxyflavone has been synthesized and its antioxidant activity has been investigated. Flavone was synthesized by oxidative cyclization of chalcone. 2',4'-dihydroxy-3,4-dimethoxychalcone was prepared by Claisen-Schmidt condensation of 2,4-dihydroxyacetophenones with 3,4-dimethoxybenzaldehydes in the presence of aqueous solution of sodium hydroxide and ethanol at room temperature. Oxidative cyclization of 2',4'-dihydroxy-3,4-dimethoxychalcone was done by using I 2 catalyst in DMSO to form 7-hydroxy-3',4'dimethoxyflavone. The synthesized compounds were characterized by means of their UV-Vis, IR, 1 H-NMR and 13 C-NMR spectral data. The compound was tested for their antioxidant activities by DPPH method.

The implementation of technology in the era of Society 5.0 runs massively in the world of educati... more The implementation of technology in the era of Society 5.0 runs massively in the world of education. One of them is in the form of augmented reality (AR) learning media. AR technology that can visualize abstract chemical topics in line with the concept of tetrahedral chemical representation. Therefore, this study aims to design and test the effectiveness of AR learning media based on tetrahedral chemical representation. This study used research and development methods with ADDIE (analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation) model. The topic of chemical equilibrium chemistry was chosen in this study to develop AR media. This research was conducted in three representative schools in Surakarta, Central Java, Indonesia. A total of 168 students from three representative schools (66 male and 102 female) participated as subjects in the Implementation stage. In addition, a multiple-choice instrument with 24 parallel questions on the pre-and post-test was used to determine the effect of the developed media on the experimental and control classes. The results showed that the design of AR learning media based on tetrahedral chemical representations was successfully developed and proved effective in improving learning outcomes. Student response sheets are given after using the media to find user experience regarding the strength and weaknesses of AR media.
Several essential oils have been evaluated as antibacterial agent in the production of natural pa... more Several essential oils have been evaluated as antibacterial agent in the production of natural paper from banana peel (Musa paradisiaca Linn.), namely cinnamon, clove, lime and lemon oil. The purpose of the research was to examine the antibacterial activity of the papers with additive of those several essential oils againt Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli. Paper preparation was successfully carried out by alkalization method, using 4% NaOH at a temperature of 100 o C for 1 h. The essential oils as antibacterial agent were added with concentration 2.5% to the pulp (1:40). The antibacterial activities were tested using Kirby-Bauer disc diffusion method. All of the paper produced meet the standard of ISO 6519:2016 about Basic Paper for Laminated Plastic Wrapping Paper within the parameter of pH and water content. The result of the research showed that all of the paper with essential oils additive has antibacterial activity againt S. aureus, but only paper with cinnamon oil additive that have antibacterial activity againts E. coli. The use of cinnamon oil gave the largest inhibition zone diameter both on S. aureus and E. coli. Paper with cinnamon oil additive had inhibition zone diameter 18 mm on S. aureus (strong category) and 9 mm on E. coli (medium category).

We create a Testlet Aassessment Instrument (TAI) as a diagnostic tool that can be used to detect students' level of difficulty in learning chemistry. Hence, this study aims to analyze the computer-assisted TAI to measure students' learning difficulties in the chemical bond subject matter for class X students of the senior high school in Madiun of East Java Indonesia. This study used descriptive-quantitative analysis methods and15 students from 3 different schools as participants. The computer-assisted TAI consists of 10-question stems, that's stem 1 until stem 10. The result showed that for stem 8 only 4% students can answer correctly and thus the stem is considered the most difficult. Scoring of the TAI used graded scoring with 4 categories. The implication for applying the computer-assisted TAI for measuring students' difficulties in chemical bonding subject was discussed.

This article discusses the needs analysis of the teachers and students towards the development of... more This article discusses the needs analysis of the teachers and students towards the development of a multiple-representation-based blended learning Subject Specific Pedagogy (SSP) used in chemistry learning. The subjects of this study consisted of 15 chemistry teachers in Central Java and 34 high school students in class XII IPA. Primary data were obtained by providing teacher questionnaires consisting of the characteristics of reaction rates material, the use of learning media that are usually used, and students' critical thinking skills and learning using SSP blended learning based on multiple representations. While the student questionnaire consists of students' interests and learning methods in understanding chemical material, students' opinions regarding the reaction level material, and students' general critical thinking skills. The results of this need analysis show that teachers and students need integrated learning tools to support learning activities. The conclusion of this study is to develop a multiple-representationbased blended learning Subject Specific Pedagogy (SSP) to improve critical thinking skills and student learning outcomes.
The purpose of this research is to develop the synthesis of chalcone through a green chemical app... more The purpose of this research is to develop the synthesis of chalcone through a green chemical approach that has the potential as an antibacterial. Chalcone synthesis was carried out using a grinding technique through a Claisen-Schmidt condensation reaction at room temperature for 30 minutes by grinding benzaldehyde (4-bromobenzaldehyde or 4hydroxybenzaldehyde), 4'-methoxyacetophenone, and NaOH. The reaction product was purified by recrystallization through 96% ethanol. The purity of the compound was tested by TLC. Characterization of chalcones by FT IR, 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR, and GC-MS showed that 4-hydroxy-4'-methoxy chalcone and 4-Bromo-4'-methoxy chalcone were formed. The antibacterial activity of Methoxy chalcone was determined in vitro by a disc diffusion test for grampositive and gram-negative bacteria. The test results showed that the second compound chalcone had weak activity against Staphylococcus aureus and was not active against Escherichia coli.

The development of science and technology has brought significant changes to the world of educati... more The development of science and technology has brought significant changes to the world of education, especially in the teaching and learning process. In the learning process, there is an interaction between teachers and students to transform their knowledge in the learning environment. To convey this knowledge, a supporting factor in learning is needed, namely learning media. This study aims to determine the feasibility of chemistry learning media in the form of augmented reality (AR) media based on chemical tetrahedral representations on thermochemical materials. This study uses quantitative research methods, with data processing and analysis using the Aiken model. The instrument used is a validation questionnaire sheet to determine the feasibility of the media. The feasibility test itself is carried out by testing 1 chemist, 1 learning media expert, 1 learning technology expert, and 6 education practitioners. The results of the validation test of the feasibility of augmented reality media get the results of Aiken's V 0.9899, which means that the media is feasible to use. However, improvements still need to be made according to suggestions from the validator so that the finalized product can be used as a measuring tool that meets the criteria.

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif menggunakan three-tier test. Data analisis lain menggunakan observasi, wawancara dan angket. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas X MIPA SMAN 2 Karanganyar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Miskonsepsi siswa kelas X MIPA SMAN 2 Karanganyar terjadi pada materi reaksi redoks subkonsep pelepasan dan penerimaan elektron, penggabungan dan pelepasan oksigen, pengertian redoks, penentuan bilangan oksidasi, perubahan bilangan oksidasi, oksidator reduktor, dan autoredoks dengan persentase miskonsepsi siswa kelas X MIPA SMAN 2 Karanganyar pada materi reaksi redoks sebesar 34,49%; siswa memahami konsep sebesar 38,38%; siswa tidak memahami konsep sebesar 17,53%; eror sebesar 9,69%. (2) Faktor penyebab miskonsepsi pada siswa menurut hasil angket dan wawancara yaitu internal siswa, kepercayaan pada teman, kurangnya interaksi guru dan siswa, buku ajar kurang lengkap dan metode mengajar monoton.

Semua siswa dapat berpikir, tetapi kebanyakan dari siswa membutuhkan dorongan dan bimbingan untuk proses berpikir tingkat tinggi. Test yang mendorong keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi diperlukan untuk mendorong siswa memiliki kemampuan ini. Instrumen tes Two-tier Multiple Choice mendorong siswa untuk berpikir tingkat tinggi dan memiliki keterampilan penalaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi siswa kelas XI SMA N 1 Surakarta pada materi kelarutan dan hasil kali kelarutan. Penelitian ini menggunakan instrumen penilaian Two-tier Multiple Choice untuk mengukur keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah 95 siswa terdiri dari 3 kelas yang memiliki nilai rata-rata kelas tinggi, sedang, dan rendah. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan kesimpulan yang didapatkan adalalah sebanyak 7,4% siswa memiliki keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi sangat rendah, 25,2% rendah, 52,7% sedang dan 14, 7% tinggi.

(2) menerapkan model pembelajaran CPS dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa SMA Negeri Colomadu pada materi pokok termokimia. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian tindakan kelas yang terdiri dari dua siklus. Subyek penelitian adalah siswa kelas XI. IA 2 SMA N Colomadu tahun pelajaran 2012/2013. Data yang dikumpulkan meliputi data primer, yaitu nilai prestasi siswa dan hasil observasi tindakan, dan data sekunder, yaitu dokumentasi, RPP, silabus, daftar siswa dan daftar nilai siswa. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) model pembelajaran CPS dapat meningkatkan minat belajar siswa, yaitu berdasarkan lembar observasi meningkat dari 56,33% pada siklus I menjadi 72,65% pada siklus II dan berdasarkan angket meningkat dari 58,4% pada siklus I menjadi 74,14% pada siklus II. (2) model pembelajaran CPS dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa, hasil belajar kognitif meningkat dari 62,86% pada siklus I menjadi 85,71% pada siklus II dan hasil belajar afektif meningkat dari 66,38% pada siklus I menjadi 71,67% pada siklus II.

BAC4, is known to produce penicillin G acylase (PGA) enzyme with relatively high activity. This strain secretes the PGA into the culture medium. However, it has been reported that PGA activity fall and rise during culture, and the activity plummets during storege at-20 0 C, which probably due to usage protease activity of Bacillus sp. BAC4. To study the possible use of Bacillus subtilis 1012M15 as a host cell for cloning the pga gene from Bacillus sp. BAC4, the protease activity of Bacillus subtilis 1012M15 were studied. Protease activity was determined by Horikoshi method. In this experiment, maximum protease activity in Bacillus subtilis 1012M15 culture was obsereved after 8 hours. At this optimum condition, protease activity of Bacillus sp. BAC4 is five time higher than that of Bacillus subtilis 1012M15. This situation promised the possible usage of Bacillus subtilis 1012M15 as a host cell for pga expression. For protease characterization, the bacterial culture had been separated from the cell debris by centrifugation. The filtrate was concentrated by freeze drying, fractionated by ammonium sulphate, dialyzed in selovan tube, and then fractionated by ion exchance chromatography employing DEAE-cellulose. The five peaks resulted indicated the presence of five protease. Based on inhibitor and activator influence analysis, it could be concluded that proteases from Bacillus subtilis 1012M15 contained of serin protease as well as metalloprotease and serin protease mixture.
Synthesis of flavones and their derivatives has attracted considerable attention due to their sig... more Synthesis of flavones and their derivatives has attracted considerable attention due to their significant pharmaceutical effects. 7-hydroxy-3',4'-dimethoxyflavone has been synthesized and its antioxidant activity has been investigated. Flavone was synthesized by oxidative cyclization of chalcone. 2',4'-dihydroxy-3,4-dimethoxychalcone was prepared by Claisen-Schmidt condensation of 2,4-dihydroxyacetophenones with 3,4-dimethoxybenzaldehydes in the presence of aqueous solution of sodium hydroxide and ethanol at room temperature. Oxidative cyclization of 2',4'-dihydroxy-3,4-dimethoxychalcone was done by using I 2 catalyst in DMSO to form 7-hydroxy-3',4'dimethoxyflavone. The synthesized compounds were characterized by means of their UV-Vis, IR, 1 H-NMR and 13 C-NMR spectral data. The compound was tested for their antioxidant activities by DPPH method.

One of them is in the form of augmented reality (AR) learning media. AR technology that can visualize abstract chemical topics in line with the concept of tetrahedral chemical representation. Therefore, this study aims to design and test the effectiveness of AR learning media based on tetrahedral chemical representation. This study used research and development methods with ADDIE (analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation) model. The topic of chemical equilibrium chemistry was chosen in this study to develop AR media. This research was conducted in three representative schools in Surakarta, Central Java, Indonesia. A total of 168 students from three representative schools (66 male and 102 female) participated as subjects in the Implementation stage. In addition, a multiple-choice instrument with 24 parallel questions on the pre-and post-test was used to determine the effect of the developed media on the experimental and control classes. The results showed that the design of AR learning media based on tetrahedral chemical representations was successfully developed and proved effective in improving learning outcomes. Student response sheets are given after using the media to find user experience regarding the strength and weaknesses of AR media.
Several essential oils have been evaluated as antibacterial agent in the production of natural pa... more Several essential oils have been evaluated as antibacterial agent in the production of natural paper from banana peel (Musa paradisiaca Linn.), namely cinnamon, clove, lime and lemon oil. The purpose of the research was to examine the antibacterial activity of the papers with additive of those several essential oils againt Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli. Paper preparation was successfully carried out by alkalization method, using 4% NaOH at a temperature of 100 o C for 1 h. The essential oils as antibacterial agent were added with concentration 2.5% to the pulp (1:40). The antibacterial activities were tested using Kirby-Bauer disc diffusion method. All of the paper produced meet the standard of ISO 6519:2016 about Basic Paper for Laminated Plastic Wrapping Paper within the parameter of pH and water content. The result of the research showed that all of the paper with essential oils additive has antibacterial activity againt S. aureus, but only paper with cinnamon oil additive that have antibacterial activity againts E. coli. The use of cinnamon oil gave the largest inhibition zone diameter both on S. aureus and E. coli. Paper with cinnamon oil additive had inhibition zone diameter 18 mm on S. aureus (strong category) and 9 mm on E. coli (medium category).

We create a Testlet Aassessment Instrument (TAI) as a diagnostic tool that can be used to detect students' level of difficulty in learning chemistry. Hence, this study aims to analyze the computer-assisted TAI to measure students' learning difficulties in the chemical bond subject matter for class X students of the senior high school in Madiun of East Java Indonesia. This study used descriptive-quantitative analysis methods and15 students from 3 different schools as participants. The computer-assisted TAI consists of 10-question stems, that's stem 1 until stem 10. The result showed that for stem 8 only 4% students can answer correctly and thus the stem is considered the most difficult. Scoring of the TAI used graded scoring with 4 categories. The implication for applying the computer-assisted TAI for measuring students' difficulties in chemical bonding subject was discussed.

This article discusses the needs analysis of the teachers and students towards the development of... more This article discusses the needs analysis of the teachers and students towards the development of a multiple-representation-based blended learning Subject Specific Pedagogy (SSP) used in chemistry learning. The subjects of this study consisted of 15 chemistry teachers in Central Java and 34 high school students in class XII IPA. Primary data were obtained by providing teacher questionnaires consisting of the characteristics of reaction rates material, the use of learning media that are usually used, and students' critical thinking skills and learning using SSP blended learning based on multiple representations. While the student questionnaire consists of students' interests and learning methods in understanding chemical material, students' opinions regarding the reaction level material, and students' general critical thinking skills. The results of this need analysis show that teachers and students need integrated learning tools to support learning activities. The conclusion of this study is to develop a multiple-representationbased blended learning Subject Specific Pedagogy (SSP) to improve critical thinking skills and student learning outcomes.
The purpose of this research is to develop the synthesis of chalcone through a green chemical app... more The purpose of this research is to develop the synthesis of chalcone through a green chemical approach that has the potential as an antibacterial. Chalcone synthesis was carried out using a grinding technique through a Claisen-Schmidt condensation reaction at room temperature for 30 minutes by grinding benzaldehyde (4-bromobenzaldehyde or 4hydroxybenzaldehyde), 4'-methoxyacetophenone, and NaOH. The reaction product was purified by recrystallization through 96% ethanol. The purity of the compound was tested by TLC. Characterization of chalcones by FT IR, 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR, and GC-MS showed that 4-hydroxy-4'-methoxy chalcone and 4-Bromo-4'-methoxy chalcone were formed. The antibacterial activity of Methoxy chalcone was determined in vitro by a disc diffusion test for grampositive and gram-negative bacteria. The test results showed that the second compound chalcone had weak activity against Staphylococcus aureus and was not active against Escherichia coli.

The development of science and technology has brought significant changes to the world of educati... more The development of science and technology has brought significant changes to the world of education, especially in the teaching and learning process. In the learning process, there is an interaction between teachers and students to transform their knowledge in the learning environment. To convey this knowledge, a supporting factor in learning is needed, namely learning media. This study aims to determine the feasibility of chemistry learning media in the form of augmented reality (AR) media based on chemical tetrahedral representations on thermochemical materials. This study uses quantitative research methods, with data processing and analysis using the Aiken model. The instrument used is a validation questionnaire sheet to determine the feasibility of the media. The feasibility test itself is carried out by testing 1 chemist, 1 learning media expert, 1 learning technology expert, and 6 education practitioners. The results of the validation test of the feasibility of augmented reality media get the results of Aiken's V 0.9899, which means that the media is feasible to use. However, improvements still need to be made according to suggestions from the validator so that the finalized product can be used as a measuring tool that meets the criteria.

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif menggunakan three-tier test. Data analisis lain menggunakan observasi, wawancara dan angket. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas X MIPA SMAN 2 Karanganyar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Miskonsepsi siswa kelas X MIPA SMAN 2 Karanganyar terjadi pada materi reaksi redoks subkonsep pelepasan dan penerimaan elektron, penggabungan dan pelepasan oksigen, pengertian redoks, penentuan bilangan oksidasi, perubahan bilangan oksidasi, oksidator reduktor, dan autoredoks dengan persentase miskonsepsi siswa kelas X MIPA SMAN 2 Karanganyar pada materi reaksi redoks sebesar 34,49%; siswa memahami konsep sebesar 38,38%; siswa tidak memahami konsep sebesar 17,53%; eror sebesar 9,69%. (2) Faktor penyebab miskonsepsi pada siswa menurut hasil angket dan wawancara yaitu internal siswa, kepercayaan pada teman, kurangnya interaksi guru dan siswa, buku ajar kurang lengkap dan metode mengajar monoton.

Semua siswa dapat berpikir, tetapi kebanyakan dari siswa membutuhkan dorongan dan bimbingan untuk proses berpikir tingkat tinggi. Test yang mendorong keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi diperlukan untuk mendorong siswa memiliki kemampuan ini. Instrumen tes Two-tier Multiple Choice mendorong siswa untuk berpikir tingkat tinggi dan memiliki keterampilan penalaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi siswa kelas XI SMA N 1 Surakarta pada materi kelarutan dan hasil kali kelarutan. Penelitian ini menggunakan instrumen penilaian Two-tier Multiple Choice untuk mengukur keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah 95 siswa terdiri dari 3 kelas yang memiliki nilai rata-rata kelas tinggi, sedang, dan rendah. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan kesimpulan yang didapatkan adalalah sebanyak 7,4% siswa memiliki keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi sangat rendah, 25,2% rendah, 52,7% sedang dan 14, 7% tinggi.
