Vegan Chocolate Dipping Sauce

Ingredients:

Steps:

  1. Place chopped chocolate and spices into a small bowl. 
  2. Heat oat milk in a small pot over medium low heat until steaming but not boiling. Pour the warm oat milk over the other ingredients and let sit for 5 minutes. Whisk until smooth and shiny.
  3. Serve with warm churros and enjoy!

Vegan Chocolate Caramel Apples

Servings: 4

Ingredients:

  • 2 bars of Dr Bronner’s Magic All One Chocolate, chopped (any flavor)
  • 4 granny smith apples
  • ¾ cup canned full-fat coconut milk
  • ¼ cup coconut sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • salt
  • Optional toppings: crushed almonds, coconut flakes,  flaky salt, pepitas.

Steps:

  1. To make the caramel, combine coconut milk, vanilla, coconut sugar and a pinch of salt in a small pot. Bring to a boil and then reduce to a low simmer for about 10-15 minutes, until thick and caramel colored. Set aside to cool slightly.
  2. While your caramel is cooling, remove the apple stems and wash and dry apples well. Place a popsicle stick into the top of each apple. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. Roll your apples in the caramel to coat the entire apple – you may need to use a spoon to help you coat the apple completely. Place coated apples onto the parchment paper lined tray and then set into the fridge to cool for about 10 minutes.
  4. While the caramel apples set, place a small pot of water over medium heat to boil. Once boiling, lower the temperature to low and place a glass bowl on top of the pot to create a double boiler. Add chopped chocolate to the bowl and stir until fully melted.
  5. Dip caramel apples in chocolate and sprinkle on any toppings, if using, Place coated apples back onto the parchment paper lined tray and then place  into the fridge to set. 
  6. Enjoy!
