  • I activate… Gluttony! Slime Isekai anyone? No? Okay, I’ll stop… This was one of my favorite interpretations of the “You are the Weapon” theme, and I had a lot of fun playing through the levels that were there. I did catch on the terrain at times, and the jumping was a little jank when playing as the swordsman form. I would suggest either increasing horizontal move speed, lowering gravity, or giving a little more airtime at the top so that there is a little more control in the jump. Moving on to the Game Design Document, the organization of the items you have there is great and detailed, but there was one section that I found missing that I look for specifically: The Development Timeline. The development timeline is important for a few reasons: (1) it gives a check for progression, being able to note when things get done and having a clear view of the steps required for the goal, (2) it gives a sense of dependency/importance as certain items will need to be completed before others (i.e. don’t just put the final day as the finish date for every item), and (3) it shows what extra items can be accomplished if there is time, or what things can be left for the next build if you are running behind. All in all, great work!

Have you checked that your GDD is publicly accessible ?
YES

Is your game set to public on itch.io so we can see it?
YES

Summarise your game!
The player controls a small ball of goo, who has the ability to symbiotically possess people and gain their power/knowledge. The player can use its possession as a means of stealth, extra movement abilities, or to affect the environment around them. Creative use of these abilities will allow the player to either avoid or fight through enemies to reach a goal in each level.

Please explain how your game fits the theme:
Goop is small, but he is mighty. His tasks are not his own, but given unto him by another- and in this way, he is someone else’s weapon. Will he be a tool of violence, or will he be a precise instrument, causing as little harm as he can on the way?

Really cool! Art and music are awesome! Gameplay felt pretty good, and I loved the mechanic of morphing in to the other characters, very unique! And it's nice that each character has their own special abilities. I hope you will keep working and building up these ideas, Great job!
