Thank you for playing it and your kind words!
In short, Threat Rating tells you how many hit points the threat has AND how many d6s they roll against you.
You can choose to regain psyche when you allocate your successes!
Ex: if you rolled 3 successes, you can apply one to the threat rating (dealing damage to the threat), one to the Objective rating (moving you one step closer to completing the floors objective and finding the elevator), and regain one psyche!
Hope that was helpful! Let me know if you have any more questions!

thank you! yeah, if seen a few but i hadn't caught that typo! i'll post an update in a few days!
My modern horror version "Instant Horror" is bundled with "The Gas Station," on my page. It's free for Halloween!
Sci-fi is such a good idea, and the obvious progression, I feel silly for not having thought of it myself! What genre of Sci would you into just a generic sci fi?
Thank you again, i appreciate you!
Thank you! In systems with no attack rolls, just use their BD as their damage dice for attacks. In a streamlined system like Cairn i would just roll flat d20 for any checks/test that need to be made, no need to add any extra complication.
My design intent is that you would only roll for NPCs if you absolutely needed to, otherwise just use the players rolls for both them and their followers.
