Hello all,

I am in the midst of working on a  visual novel, and I am looking for a handful of artists to help me work on this project. I'll want people for all the elements of a visual novel that require drawing something besides the UI (the verdict's still out on that), which would include character/object sprites, backgrounds, and CGs. I've already written a first draft of the entire project, but I was thinking (unless everybody is super up for working on the whole thing at once) of only properly working "Act One", and then gauging interest in the rest from there. I'm in the midst of storyboarding said first act (I'm sure most folks would prefer to know what they'll have to draw ahead of time), but I wouldn't mind working on designs for things before I'm finished with that.

This visual novel is themed around a group of students at an American high school; although it'll be mostly realist, there are a small handful of fantastical elements present.  There's going to be nothing 18+ in it, but there are some adult themes and a couple sequences of non-graphic violence, and some thematic elements might be considered triggering for some folks; please ask me later for specifics if you're still interested in working on it in spite of this.  Aesthetically speaking, I'm not looking for something too Key/Visual Arts-looking; I would honestly prefer something less detailed, almost more Western cartoon-looking. Of course, the look will ultimately depend on whoever ends up joining the team, so feel free to let me know you're interested in working on a visual novel, no matter what your art looks like. And obviously, since I highly doubt I'll find a single super dedicated person to work on every square inch of this thing by themselves, the ability to collaborate and mesh your personal art style with those of others is a plus.

i am willing to work in just about any genre, from fantasy to slice-to-life to weird surreal shit. the only thing i’m not willing to write for is NSFW stuff; this not only includes porn stuff, but also fanservice-heavy ecchi type stuff (romance in general is perfectly fine though, and i’m fine with writing about things, just as long as it isn’t explicit). i would prefer to work on a visual novel; however, if you want a writer for an actual video game, we can talk

in terms of payment, i’m honestly doing this for fun more than anything; i’m not really going to care much about being paid for producing 3 tracks or writing 1000 words. however, if you want me for something slightly more ambitious, we can discuss it. then again, i’m currently not looking to do work for a 100+ hour epic either

i’ve been in the process for the past month or so of creatin this terrible vn in ren’py called “ink spots”.  it’s about two folks, max and emily, who are trapped inside a hellzone called the other region, and their various attempts at escaping this place.  i’ve recently finished route one of it, and i figured i might as well upload just this first part for free just to gauge peeps’ reactions. please enjoy the bizarre story and rather terrible artwork present within this demo, and i’ll be sure to present more bizarre events and more poorly drawn artwork once the visual novel as a whole is finished
