Hey! This is pretty cool so far! The art style is pretty cool. The game could definitely be something good.
Some game juice would be good, screenshake, some better sfx, etc.
The main issue I have with the gameplay is it's pretty hard, and I don't feel like I'm in control. The moment to moment is the same thing without variation at the moment. Powerups in the middle of gameplay would make it feel better to me. I wasn't able to beat the first level after a handful of tries. I personally didn't run into any bugs though. I think this is definitely on the right track, and you have a great start so far. Definitely looking forward to more updates!
Hey jslegend and JuhoSprite! I created a game here: https://kyjor.itch.io/super-mango-julia using this pack. And the reason why I responded here is because I was using your video as the basis for my design. I veered off quite a bit, but you can see the parity most in the first level. I did this to practice making a game with my own engine.
Hey, just played this. Overall, I think it wasn't bad. I think that there could have been more indicators for what to do and when. I got stuck immediately after the first cut scene and had to check the comments to see what to do. I really liked the voice acting with the cut scenes though. Pretty entertaining.
Hello everyone! A game engine I have been working on (that is still very early in development) is ready to be used! It offers very basic functionality, but can be used to create small 2d games right now. There isn't much documentation, but that is on the way soon! Here's a game I made with the engine previously that is available on itch now! https://kyjor.itch.io/the-jester
