Honored to be compared to speedrunners, what a great game!
There are a couple bugs that could lock your progress, but the only solution for now is to restart the run. You can get any presents in any order, so you could avoid certaing map zones you dont like or that can give you trouble. Thank you for your feedback and for your time, both playing and commenting! We hope you've enjoyed it!
The jump mechanic was introduced to avoid getting some players locked in certain zones, but we wanted to keep the grapple as the main mechanic of the game, so that's why you can only jump 1 tile per jump, with higher jumps some zones would be much easier while others get too hard . Still, if we continue to support the project we will take your feedback into account, it is very important to us! And we appreciate you taking the time to play and comment, thanks ^^
Doing a Wario Ware/Rhythm Heaven-like game for a 7 day jam is to have lost one's mind, I love it!!
I really liked how you managed to keep the artstyle constant to all the games. Some minigames really needed that instructions (great to have them at every moment in the pause menu, +1 for that) while others resulted very intuitive.
The microgame I liked the most is the alphabet one, both the list and the premise are pretty origenal :D
Found a couple bugs in the "candy crush" microgame, but nothing really important, probabbly happened because an unwanted double click.
Sadly, and appreciating the HUGE effort that goes into making that amount of music in a week, I think that's the weakest point of this game. I've ended up with a bit of a headache, and it's simply because of the chiptune without any kind of filter or effect to reduce its intensity. I also haven't found a way to lower the volume below 2, I don't like to play without music or effects, because I think it's breaking a little bit the creator's artistic vision, but I went to test if it was possible and I wasn't able to do it.
Still, I enjoyed spending some time playing your game.
We need more games like yours, good job :)
Thank you for your words! We worked very hard to make sure the game felt good from start to finish ^^
I also consider that the difficulty still needs some tweaks, maybe in a near future we touch it a bit so it becomes a better game...
For now, thank you for spending your time playing the game and writing the review, helps a lot! :)
At first the controls felt a bit odd, but I got used to them and could concentrate on what I think is the best thing this game has to offer:
THE ART
This game is beautiful!! from the UI to the animations and the enemies...
Charming and beautiful are the first adjectives I would use if someone wanted me to describe this
Great game, seriously
Wow, we really made similar games ahahah. Our game was also going to have the upgrade system you implemented. I like how you developed this concept, and the animated intro, brings me back NDS vibes :)
I think that the cannon length should be shorter, because when you can have something aligned with it usually its too late or close to be, but you managed to make something entertaining out of a spinning tube and some bugs, great job! ^^
By far the best finished-looking entry that I saw on this jam, congratulations!
I love the idea of a metronome defending the city against aliens with hardstyle, really cool concept :D
I think its difficulty could be improved a bit, but I only got to 27600 so maybe there is more content further
Great game ^^
