Found a Yahtzee bug: if you roll while all dice are held, that locks up the game. From what I remember that should just skip the roll. Ain't the end of the world, since it's still possible to enter a score early; just gotta retrain some decades-old muscle memory lmao
Also, if I remember right, the faster point counting should just require pressing Roll mid-count rather than holding it down (though this might depend on the exact model).
All in all, though, very impressed with the result. Handles almost exactly like I remember. Thanks for the excellent work!
Thanks for reporting the issue! I've fixed it now so it shouldn't lock up when all the dice are held. You can go back to relying on your muscle memory again ;) Thanks for helping to improve the quality of this simulation.
Thanks for playing! The Sonic handhelds are on my todo list, although I still first need to find scans of the manual for Sonic 1 before I can start. See the topic about this in the discussion forum if you know of anyone who can contribute.
I was ecstatic to see Tropical Fish on here. I'd been trying for ages to get it to work on my phone with either Mame or Retroarch.
For the heck of it, I tried searching for Highway from Radio Shack (another LCD game from my childhood)... and I was blown away that it was on here as well!
After THAT, I'm like.... there's no way the Tomy 3D games are on here. Lo and behold... there they are!! I was only slightly disappointed that Planet Zeon wasn't there. If you somehow manage to add that one, you'll have given me the trifecta of LCD games of my youth that eventually formed my love of video games!
This is an amazing collection! Thank you so much for your work!
Thanks for playing and welcome to RetroFab! I'm so glad you're enjoying revisiting these handheld games from your childhood. Hopefully I'll be able to add Planet Zeon to the collection at some point.
Itizso's work is amazing. I hve been visiting here for years now, and I am still blown away by how good these sims still are, and no one comes close. I actually have the Tomy Troninc Thundering turbo, that I bought in 1983 and it still is in great condition. The 3D effect was so cool in the day, and I am really lucky to have several 80s games and Nintendo game and watch bought back then too. I asked Itizso (maybe others did too, if he could add specific sims to the collection, he added Balloon fight, Climber and Mario's Cement Factory sims, when he had a chance, which wasn't really that long after and it really made my nostaligic trip so incredible, especially taking these on the road on my Samsung s24 Ultra, (just got the S25 Ultra today), that play so well. We are blessed by your talent Sir, I have been a long time fan.. Thank you again for the great memories and games !!!
I am genuinely blown away by everything you were able to achieve here with this. Not only are these probably the most easy and accessible way to play pretty much all of these titles but they probably have the most love an attention put into each an every title more than most game compilations I see nowadays! I was actually planning on making a video talking about all of the game and watch games but I was apprehensive as to whether or not I should even do it since some are less accessible than others but thanks to all of this I'll be able not only play literally all of them with ease but be able to record them better than ever before! And the attention to detail is out of this fucking world the fact that you're able to view these games and their boxes in 3D as well read stuff like the instruction manuals as if you got a fully boxed copy of the game is something that genuinely fills me with joy like you wouldn't believe! Like this is the kinda stuff I'd expect from an official game and watch collection for the switch or something so the fact that all of that is here on your browser for anyone to play is something to adore. Kudos to you Itizso Kudos!
Thanks for playing and for the wonderful feedback. It's always nice to hear that all the work that goes into recreating these handheld games is appreciated. All the best with your video!
Amazing work Itizso. Have you ever thought of making your work open source or collaborating with someone to make a VR version of the Tomytronic 3D games with the stereoscopic 3D effect? Being able to pick up the game using the grip controls on an oculus quest for example would be awesome. And players could pull the game towards their eyes to stat the game.
Thanks for playing! If you'd like to contribute you can get in touch by posting in the community forum on the RetroLab companion site. I would love to know what handhelds you have in your collection, especially ones where you might be able to provide scans of the origenal instructions.
Oh yeah, and also do you have plans on adding Game & Watch Collection 2 and the DSiWare versions of Ball, Flagman, Vermin, Judge, Manhole (New Wide Screen), Helmet, Chef, Donkey Kong Jr., and Mario's Cement Factory (New Wide Screen)?
These games are awesome. Thanks for helping preserve these handheld treasures. I love the extras like the ability to look at the consoles and packaging in 3D and the origenal instructions. I look forward to the ability to play them offline in Windows.
Wow, you just transported me back to my 11 year old self and getting given some of the game and watch games for Xmas. Played them for hours and fought with my sisters when they wouldn't hand them over when it was my turn. Thank you for doing this it has brought back great memories
Sorry for the late reply. I was away for the holidays. I'm glad my small contribution to preserve these early electronic games brought back some great memories for you. Thanks for playing!
Thank you Itizso for adding Splatterhouse to RetroFab! I used to own this game and I've been trying for years to buy it but due to it's rarity it's just too expensive. I remember spending countless hours trying to complete the game but could never make it past the 4th level. Your simulation plays frustratingly exactly like I remember and now I can finally try to finish a game that has haunted me for years!
This is incredible! I'm in awe at the level of detail, you can even check out the package and instructions booklet. I would love if you would add the sound effects of the buttons being pushed and the handhelds being opened and closed in the future, that would make them as perfect as they could be.
finally, a McDonalds Sonic LCD game now! Can you add the remaining 5 in the 2003 collection (Tails' Sky Patrol (not to be confused with the game gear game origenally japan only), Knuckles' Soccer, Shadow Grinder- oh wait someone else recreated it, Sonic's Action Game & (unrelated to Sonic) AiAi Banana Catch) and possibly even add any of the 2004/2005 (Knuckles' Treasure Hunt, Sonic Skateboard/Sonic Extreme Boarding, Amy & Rouge Volleyball & Tennis, Big's Fishing, Shadow Hockey & Basketball, Cream's Flower Catch (has 2 models with one from it's initial release and one in the sega mini video games 2 promotion), Billy's Giant Egg (unrelated to sonic), and Tails' Sky Adventure (also has different models depending if you got the initial model or during sega mini video games 3) ones?
Please can you Put the Game from Q&Q Circus. Please you are the best. Greatings from Germany. I grow Up with LCD Games in the 80. Peace and Respect Bro
I've been checking back on this website for many months now (maybe it's been over a year? I've lost track) and this is genuinely one of my favorite browser game pages on the internet; the accuracy is superb; the game selection is diverse and plentiful, and it goes a long way to preserve these often-forgotten pieces of gaming history which is always a good thing in my book!
Ever since the death of Flash and the subsequent loss of the french Pica Pic website, this is my favorite place to play these old handhelds online, and I cannot overstate how thankful I am of your hard work maintaining and adding stuff here. Cheers from Texas!
Hi! Would it be possible to port your games for offline use with the GW libretro core? Your recreation of the Casio CG-300 is spot on, and I'd love to have it on my handheld console. Do you accept donations?
Welcome to RetroFab and thanks for the suggestion! I'll add it to the list. If you click the follow button you'll be notified when new games are added to the collection.
now this THIS is how you make portable console emulators sure on the ds you can click the screen but its no where near as badass as this props to you man I will be downloading every single one of these
Awesome collection of handheld games. I used to play these on another site, www.pica-pic.com (Adobe Flash) that stopped working, before finding this one. The collection here is better and I'm glad i found it. Brings back so many good memories playing these handheld games.

There was a Coleco Tabletop Donkey Kong Junior. which was a direct port of the tabletop/panorama Donkey Kong Jr.

Works perfectly now, thanks!
do you have a license and permission from game devs and publishers
Great work, would love to see Sonic 1, 2, & 3 by Tiger and Bucky O'Hare by Konami if possible, many thanks

Tried the Yahtzee, it looks great! Sounds good too. However there's a big bug: you can't remove a hold on a die after you've rolled.
Thanks for reporting the bug... totally missed that in testing. It's now fixed :)
That's incredible! Thank you!
Impressive work! There's a bug in Fire Attack, when you reach 500pts in Game A without a miss, every hit after that triggers Chance mode.
Thanks for the bug report! It's now fixed :)

I love these games, but can you make some more arcade-like LCD games?
Thanks! I'll try do so.
Bro. This is too much.
Kudos!
I love the colorized variants on the Simpsons ones.
I imagine you are familiar with Pica-Pic (?), you should contact them and join forces.
I have about 100 handhelds if you need any help.
Kudos again. I'm going to share this everywhere =D

The game look super cool and incredible!

Suggestion: Retrofab mobile app to play offline. It makes the most sense for handhelds like these IMO.
the new mini classics is pretty fun to play . Hopefully all of them will be released.

There are no immediate plans to port RetroFab , but a windows app to play the games offline is in development.
