Brandi Frisby (professor, SIS), who had been serving as the senior associate dean, has been named the acting dean of the College of Communication and Information, while Dean Jennifer Greer serves the University of Kentucky as acting vice provost and dean liaison until Sept. 30, 2024.

Tori Bertrand (COM, 2021) is a guest experience representative for the NHL's Nashville Predators. Learn more about Tori and her awesome job here.

Valerie Perry (MSLS, 1994) was awarded the Rose L. Vormelker Award in recognition of her service to the Special Library Association.

Congratulations to ISC sophomore Kenzie Bennett, COM senior Lily Messer and COM/ISC senior Morgan David on being named 2023-2024 UK Alumni Ambassadors. Read more here.

The Society of Professional Journalists has recognized the UK SPJ chapter as a Campus Program of the Year Regional Honoree for its programs on ethics, freedom of information and open government. Read more here.

School of Information Science Assistant Professor Brian Real and Associate Dean for Graduate Programs and Department of Communication Chair Anthony Limperos were both recently named Beam Institute Faculty Fellows at the James B. Beam Institute of Kentucky Spirits in the University of Kentucky Martin-Gatton College of Agriculture, Food and Environment.  Read more here.

Beecher Reuning, assistant professor in the School of Journalism and Media participated in multiple film festivals in September. Two productions that Reuning was involved in were nominated for state and international awards. Read more here.
