Story and Features

You play as Maricel, a kind and friendly woman who enjoys meeting new people. One day, she befriends a man named Joaquin, who misinterprets her kindness as romantic interest. When she bluntly tells him she was only being friendly, Joaquin snaps. His obsession turns into rage, and one fateful night, he decides that if he can’t have her, no one can.

Now trapped in her own home, Maricel must outsmart, evade, and escape Joaquin, who has broken in with the intent to kill her.

Marupok is a Filipino horror game about the emotional vulnerability of people who fall in love too easily, only to get hurt or saddened when rejected.

In Filipino, marupok means "fragile" or "weak," but in a romantic context, it refers to someone who is easily swayed by love or prone to heartbreak.
