This report describes delinquency and status offense cases handled between the years 2005 and 2022 by United States courts with juvenile jurisdiction, which may handle a variety of matters including child maltreatment, traffic violations, child support, and adoptions. It focuses on cases that involve juveniles charged with law violations, that is, delinquency or status offenses. The Preface section provides a historical overview of juvenile court statistics and data collection, and follows with four chapters and two appendix documents.
