The game is in development (WIP) and this DEMO allows testing of the 1st and 2nd stages (Old House and Square).

17/02/2025  Latest updates:

Now the characters have a house, where you can see your current collection. (In the future I intend to make this location also a SAVE point.)

Character changes: Rick is stronger (More life) and Alice is faster.

Many internal changes were made to the code to improve performance (not that there were any problems, but to handle more enemies in the future).

Enemies now have animations and screams when defeated, but they are temporary and will be better animated in the future.

The RatTrap Item now works against all enemies (except flying ones of course!).

A few more consoles and accessories have been added to the game, and there will also be 5 books that you will have to find (1 in each stage), but they have not yet been added to the game.

The 3rd stage (Junkyard) is in a very advanced stage of development, including the boss that has shading effects rarely seen in Mega Drive (Sega Genesis) games.

18/12/24 Latest updates:

- Boss of the square level created: Defend the collection from termites!

- Junkyard stage under development (it is now possible to enter it),

- New enemy: Snake,

- New item: Trap - a board with glue that traps enemies (or you and your friend!),  working for now only against players, scorpion and snake,

- Added sound effects to most enemies,

- Inserted new animations for enemies,

- Inserted a music test within Options,

- Now the menu has the 2P option;

- Made improvements to the code,

- And many other details.

22/10/23 Latest updates:

This version features many graphical improvements, a new system on the map that includes a gas station and snack bar, as well as new enemies and new challenges in the stage 2 (Square).

19/08/23  Latest updates:

To enable 2 player mode choose "Play" from the home menu, hold A and press Start.

After the introduction of Player 2 I decided to change the camera system so that the 2 players were free on the screen (up to the edge) and this resulted in dozens of bugs that took me almost 2 weeks of work to fix,

Reprogrammed most of the sprites to make the code more efficient,

Collisions with enemies have been improved,

Health bars and items have been reduced and will soon be stylized,

Implemented system to resurrect a "dead" player with the item "Soda Can".

The "Shield" item has been implemented, which serves to protect yourself from projectiles, for now its use is unlimited.

New enemy "Bazooka" implemented, which shoots baseballs.

After the boss battle, an NPC was implemented that will reward you with an item and after that you can get in the car to finish the stage.

03/08/2024 - After tests carried out on 08/02/2024, we will postpone the new rom with the 2 player option to fix some bugs. The previous version with 1 Player is still available!

Now you can play with a friend! If someone falls, the other must bring the soda to them so they can recover their energy and continue the game.
