Hannah Orens, former Virginia Tech women’s basketball manager, was hired as the University of Kentucky women’s basketball graduate assistant, it was announced by head coach Kenny Brooks in May.

Orens is in her third season under Brooks, previously serving two seasons as a student manager at Virginia Tech (2022-23 – 2023-24). During her time on the student manager staff, the Hokies won the 2023 Atlantic Coast Conference Tournament and the 2024 ACC Regular Season and reached the 2024 Final Four.

In her role as graduate assistant, she assists with the day-to-day operations of the women’s basketball program, including but not limited to organizing and distributing equipment needs and overseeing a student manager staff.

Orens earned her undergraduate degree in biomedical engineering from Virginia Tech in 2024. She is currently working on her master’s in public health and is pursuing a career in engineering.
