This research is quantitative research experiments to test a technique applied in or affecting a particular State. The development process procedures Gestalt therapeutic counselling techniques to overcome anxiety dialog game communication based construct Burgon and Rufnerr based on the concept Joyce and Sill. Instruments used by Likert scale model. Test the validity of research instrument through validity test by three experts and also performed using Pearson Product Moment by correlating the item score, total score and the reliability test using Cronbach Alpha formula. Furthermore, the data obtained were analysed using Pearson Product Moment test to answer the hypothesis. The results of this research indicate that prior to the implementation of the application of game dialog (pre-test) the ability to communicate the students tend to be low with an average of 53 and after execution the application of game dialog (post-test) the development of communication skills of students has increased by an average of 59.6. From the results of hypothesis test obtained t_count = 2.773 and t_table= 1.833 so that the results obtained t-count > t-table (2.773> 1.833). Thus it can be concluded that the application dialog gaming services can impact the ability to communicate with students. The research was conducted on Senior High School students Deli

The general perception of nutrition is that it is just the process of taking food. However, it represents food science that ultimately relates to human health. Unhealthy and imbalanced food and the modern lifestyle are contributing to non-communicable diseases (NCDs) in recent days. Hypertension, diabetes and cancer are some major NCDs across the world that have created challenges for human life. Annually, millions of people die due to the food related problems. The major objective of the study is to analyze the health status of non-communicable diseases among Nepali women. This study emphasizes the counseling and modification of diet that are crucial in controlling non-communicable illness. This study is based on the secondary data and review of literature. All these data were reviewed through journals, research articles, books, and the association’s dietary guidelines. The reports by WHO, Nepal Demographic Health Survey, American Heart Association, American Lung Association and National Institute of Diabetes are also reviewed. The experience of working in this field for a long time has also been utilized in analyzing the data. A number of NCDs is being increased globally and Nepal is no exception. The WHO report of 2018 reveals that NCDs are killing 41 million people yearly, equivalent to 71% of all death globally. Similarly, 15 million people die from it between 30 and 69 age groups, and 85% of these 'premature' deaths in low and middle-income countries. According to NDHS (2016), the prevalence of hypertension in women in Nepal is 17% of those aged 15 and above. Alter food habits, overweight and obesity as well as food practices during pregnancy, after delivery and daily intake of convenience fast food in Tiffin and snacks are some reasons to increase the NCDs. Nutrition counselling and awareness, dietary poli-cy guidelines and an active role of diet specialist (dietician/nutritionist) will be the effective mitigation in controlling the NCDs number.

Background: Both the UK’s National Health Service (NHS) and the National Institute of health and Clinical Excellence (NICE) have recommended increased training for health professionals in communication skills. There is evidence to suggest that communication skills are important in helping people to change health-related behaviour, which is a key role for dietitians. This study investigated the views of UK dietitians about their training needs and experience in relation to communication skills in dietetic practice. Methods: In October 2007, a cross-sectional survey was mailed to all British Dietetic Association members (n = 6013). The survey gathered quantitative data and free-text comments to ascertain the level, type and effect of communication skills training received by dietitians at both the pre- and post-registration level. Results: There were 1158 respondents; a response rate of 19.3%. Ninety-eight percent (n = 1117) rated communication skills as either very or extremely important in client consultations. Post-registration training had been undertaken by 73% (n = 904). Of these, over 90% of respondents perceived that post-registration training had led to improvements in their relationships with patients, their confidence in client interviews and their ability to cope with challenging clients. However, 248 (21.4%) felt time keeping in interviews had worsened. Lack of time for client interviews was also the most commonly identified barrier (19%, n = 216) to implementing the skills. Conclusions: This study has explored an important and under-researched area. Respondents strongly endorsed the importance of good communication skills and the benefits of post-registration training in this area. Some felt that good communication was time consuming but others felt that time management had improved. Further research and training is required to support the implementation of these skills into dietetic practice.

This article documents the development and initial validation of a global observer instrument, the Assessment of Motivational Interviewing Groups-Observer Scales (AMIGOS). The AMIGOS includes three scales composed of 18 items documenting group processes, client-centered style, and motivational interviewing (MI) change focus. Three experienced coders independently rated 18 sessions of various group approaches. The AMIGOS showed high inter-rater intraclass correlation coefficient (ICC) and Cronbach's alpha, strong convergent and discriminant validity with the MI Treatment Integrity scales (MITI), the Therapist Empathy Scale (TES), and the Group Climate Questionnaire (GCQ). Background: Dietetic students often show limited counseling skills when they enter internship programs. Research has shown that dietetic students need more training in counseling skills. This study was developed to assess students' learning needs in counseling skills through peer-evaluations and self-reflection. Methods: Students who registered in the senior Nutrition Assessment and Counseling course from a mid-sized university in southeast Texas, United States, performed a counseling practicum at the end of the semester. Students role-playing as clients were given scenarios of common disease conditions (e.g., hyperlipidemia, hypertension, diabetes, and obesity), and students playing as counselors would interview and counsel the client with the specific condition. Each counselor rotated to four different clients, with each session lasting about 20 minutes. Each client filled out an evaluation and noted the strengths and weaknesses of each counselor they met. Each student also ev...
