We're thrilled to announce that Rachel Walker, a talented Graphic Design major from the Department of Art and Art History, has been awarded the 2024 Rolapp Scholarship. Rachel's unique approach to graphic design transcends the typical corporate feel, infusing each project with a distinct social or political perspective.
Her standout project, created for DESGR 4665 Identity System & Brand and titled "Forme," captures the essence of a hopeful future emerging from the pandemic. This innovative brand, visually interpreted as "For-me," invites users to engage with a solid block of soap not just as a mundane object but as a medium for personal expression and creativity. Each user has the opportunity to sculpt their piece, truly embodying the spirit of creation.
Rachel's meticulous attention to detail is evident not only in her projects but also in her presentations. She meticulously coordinates her attire to match the color palette of her work, enhancing the overall impact and unity of her presentations.
Join us in celebrating Rachel's achievement as she continues to push the boundaries of graphic design and inspire us all!
