The upgraded space is designed to ensure that associates can connect, create and engage, all while maintaining our flexible environment that leads to optimal work life balance.

The 26,000 square foot building serves about 400 of our local associates in the greater Philadelphia area.

The new workspaces use an unassigned seating model which includes various types of spaces for associates to choose from when they work in the office.

Spaces include conference rooms for presentations, video conferencing or interactive work sessions, small huddle rooms designed for both scheduled and unscheduled meetings, open collaboration spaces for informal meetings or small group discussions, traditional offices for private discussions, calls or heads down work and touchdown spaces for daily work and quick discussions.

It really showcases BBU's initiatives to stay connected in a virtual environment, also updating the space that we have to collaborate.

The updated building features various technology enhancements including interactive whiteboards, improved video conferencing capabilities and our new workspace booking tool that allows associates to easily reserve the spaces they need prior to coming into the office.

How are you and your team planning to use the space to collaborate and stay connected?

We are definitely planning on meeting more frequently, whether in large groups and small groups with immediate teams.

The larger teams virtually connecting has been great, but sometimes you can solve the issues on a better way.

If you are face to face, we'll take First Division on one of the conference rooms.

The office updates focus on well-being and inclusivity, with features such as increased natural lighting, break rooms, lockers, and a Wellness room.

Another awesome part of this building is the branding walls, which outline the history and timeline of our company and promotes our company culture.

How has flexibility helped your professional and your personal life?

It has changed my life.

As a father of two kids, it's very important for me to be there for them to connect with them.

And on the professional side, I would say that it has enabled us to connect from everywhere from we are, you know, some mornings we can start a little bit slower.

I can enjoy a cup of coffee and breakfast with my wife and take those moments.

You can't really add any value to that.

I do think that the flexibility from working from home really helps establish those associates that we work with on the West Coast because we're able to schedule interviews and schedule meetings maybe that are after our normal business hours but still within their business hours.
